I am officially furloughed... again. Almost 30 years with the Air Force (Active, Reserve and Civilian) and I have never missed a day of work and have never needed a reminder to do MY job.

Something is wrong with this picture. I get sent home while those who don't do their jobs stay.

So anyway... Bow season isn't open yet... what to do? :violin:

    Any suggestions?

That's great news. I have repaired quite a few of Rucker's transient "copters" over the years at Maxwell AFB.

I do think the first 535 furloughs should start with Congress since they did nothing to prevent this!

Dude, it sucks and it ain't right. Honestly I believe every government worker should go on strike once they finally pass a budget. Show the government what it's like to have someone else control your fate.

Congress did nothing? They did pass a bill that would fund the government. The senate rejected it.

Anyway, sorry to hear but it'll work out in the end

You should have read the message Obama sent out. It is all Congress' fault according to him. The most un-presidential statement I have ever read. It reads like a 6 year old child telling a parent "well... he started it," when told to behave. That being said... yes... government has grown too large. This just isn't the way to reduce it.

That's the only thing he does well, through around blame. Of course it's congresses fault, it's up to them to put together the budget. Anyone that's taken Government 101 knows this. However, he is partially to blame because he has stressed to the democrat majority senate to not compromise on anything. It's his way or the highway, no matter what the consequence to our county. It's all about the O.

That's just it, they did put together a budget and passed it, twice.

They are all to blame, not just congress.(the house)

Congress, house and senate as well as the president.

The Senate is part of Congress. The House pasted a bill which the Senate voted down.

He's not blaming the senate, he's blaming the house. That's what I gathered from the speech.

If that's what the previous posters are meaning, then I digress.
