What needs to happen never will because it would take an act of congress, unless the people can get a constitutional amendment passed without congress. [1] Term limit of 2 terms. Has to sit out one term to be eligible to be reelected. [2] Members of congress and the president do not get a salary. They get an expense account like the rest of the govt. employees. [3] A cap on the $ amount a candidate can receive for campaign. [4] Abolish their retirement plan - they go under SS like the majority of the country. Just a few things for starters. List could go on and on.

Every person in the country knew what Trump meant when he said Mexico would pay for the wall. Mexico is an aggressor to the US, hell no....they aren't ever going to cut us a check or outright fund the wall voluntarily...that's absurd. There are plenty of ways for Mexico to inadvertently fund the wall no matter how much they fight it, simple economics and leverage. Trump haters knew full well what he meant. The Trump haters just look for every excuse, no matter how stupid and ridiculous, to find a fault. They don't care how far they have to stretch something out of context or how obtuse they have to appear to spew their retarded narrative.
I fail to see why you guys don't think a wall will work. We already have several hundred miles of wall in place in California and Texas. Where there is a wall; it largely works. El Paso, San Ysidro...they work well. Sure there is a beat down trail coming across right where there are gaps; but that's illustrative that they do have a positive effect as a barrier. Will they be 100% effective- no, of course not. But everyone who knows anything about the border knows walls do have a mitigating effect on both human and narco smuggling. We spend over $50 billion per year combating drug use and smuggling. A one time $20 billion investment seems like a drop in the bucket; especially knowing we will recoup that from Mexico in less than a decade.
Its not about the wall its about who suggested it. If Obama or Hillary were backing it you can bet it would be under construction already. (although it would have revolving doors every 50 feet) Liberals would much rather see the country fail than Trump succeed.
To be fair; most of the existing fence/wall was completed under BHO; as originally ordered by the Secure Fence Act of 2006. The original bill ordered that a double layer fence be built. It was amended in 2007 to be downgraded to whatever the Sec. of DHS said was needed. By the way- Sens. Schumer, Clinton, Biden, and Obama voted for the original bill. Prisons have 4 walls, and drugs still flow in. The wall is not going to stop the drugs, IMO just legalize them and tax the crap out of them to pay for the wall, fine. My other issue is the wall is going to hurt families and business, if you look at where the wall is going to be, there are a lot of homes and business that will be affected. FYI I am against any wall, but I am for how his administration is going after business who employ illegal's. We just deported 21 minimum wage clerks from 7/11's, I feel safer already getting my slurpy
Don't worry partner, those illegals are now well educated as to how to run a 7/11. They can go back to their country of origin and open a new franchise.
