I can't believe some of the stuff I've been reading about this sheriff deputy that shot his ex-wife on Memorial Day. Here is the initial thread if you missed it. http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?t=21757 Well....it gets better. Remember the scandal I said he was involved in a couple years back. I found out some more information. He was basically taking the sheriff's (still the current sheriff) 17 year old daughter out on stakeouts and undercover drug deals. The sheriff's daughter who had worked for the department part-time since she was 14, was apparently running it during this scandal. http://www.roanoke.com/news/roanoke/wb/236505 Now comes the Sheriff's involvement with the Memorial Day killing. Jonathan Agee's current wife called Sheriff Hunt soon after her husband left their home threatening to kill his ex-wife. She told him his plans. Jonathan's father also called the sheriff warning him that he was going to kill his ex-wife. Sheriff Hunt decides to NOT issue a BOLO (be on the lookout) for deputy Agee. He personally calls the Salem police dept and ask to speak to the Supervisor. It was believed this is where Agee was heading....to Salem. He left a message with dispatch requesting a call back. No mention was made of the situation or any urgency. Sheriff KUNT was notified at approx 1104-1105. Jennifer Agee (deceased ex-wife) was murdered at approx 1135. That was 30 minutes to issue a BOLO for the marked Franklin County Sheriff's car which was either in Roanoke or Salem. Memorial Day...plenty of cops out. This tragedy may have been prevented. Its almost needless to say but a Franklin Co car kinda stands out in the City of Roanoke or Salem. Time of events on next post.
The doofus still refuses to step down and is actually up for re-election this year. Should be interesting. Petitions are already in the works to help the resignation process move along a bit quicker.
