The Rut?

    When do you think the bucks will start going into rut in upstate new york? There is a big cold front coming through at the end of the week and calling for snow & snow showers. Havent saw much buck activity yet?

    The buck I shot on the 24th went right up to the buck lore and sniffed it. That was the last thing he did.

    well i havent seen any of the big bucks that are on my trail camera, but they are still coming out at late night nothing in the daylight hours yet.

    Still a little early.. I've got about 10 day in the stand so far in region 7, i've seen some bucks but no rut activity(No consistent scraping/chasing/response to lures..

    Only as accurate as the sample size they're using allows. It's also depends on how subjective the reporting is. I wouldn't put much weight into it.
