Sitting here drinking coffee looking out the back window at the hedge row and field behind the house. Single mature doe eating the feed corn I put out for the family to see deer activity. Suddenly a BIG mature 10 pointer comes flying in and chases off after her. Nanny groups have broken up here. I might have to set up a blind on my deck! That was awesome! I have to get in a stand!

in stand right now smoked a fawn doe 30 min ago. been slow going the last few weeks with only 1 sighting of a deer. so i took the fawn with no regret and 10 min ago i hear grunting and movement and all hell breaks loose. i see deer everywhere running around. 3 bucks 1 nice racked buck chasing a doe but they were 75 yards off and took off across the field. what a great morning

Awesome Tribe! Hope you can get one of the big boys!

Just had a 3 1/2 yo 10 pointer walk up for some food out back too. It's 7:30 (was 8:30 yesterday) in the morning! Loving it!

    Happy Rutting everyone!

just had a 1.5 year old 8 pointer walk right under me. got a little video with my phone and he headed off to the west slowly. he hit the field where that hot doe was earlier and started dogging with his nose to the ground trotting. no doubt we have a hot doe in the area

It really Is amazing what a hot doe can do to an area. I remember back about 14 years ago while set up In back of my house sitting on a ridge over looking beans the last day of the pheasant season. All of a sudden a doe came by followed closely by what I believe was a P&Y 6 point. They caught me snoozing and all I could do was watch him walk by at 12 yards. He was grunting the beat heck and just like that I saw 8 different bucks In about 20 minutes. Bucks were coming from 200 yards away running to where the doe and buck went, It was Incredible!! Never did I see the huge 6 again, all of the other bucks were 1.5's and 2.5's. Awesome sit It was!!

Knowing you Ron and your knowledge of whitetails you probably weren't doing anything wrong. Everything was probably moving at night up until this hot doe showed her face, just goes to show how good hunting can be when one has a hot doe In the area.

So, I fully admit to being a novice as this is my first year bowhunting. But, how in the heck do you get these revved up bucks to stop for a shot? Is there ever TOO much activity so that you can't get them to slow down?
