Ok, now that I have your attention. Well the rut is going to suck for me this year. I was working on my house Sunday afternoon and went to step on the ladder and guess what happen. yep you got it the ladder slipped and that ended with me doing a belly flop from 15 feet up straight on too the ladder and well now ive got a knee that is saying lets just sit here awhile. I am going to get an MRI today to see what it shows. Ive had the acl and meniscus fixed in this knee before. SO as for right now I believe I am going to have to sit this one out unless I can find a way to get some pain killers so that I can crawl my way out to my stand and sit. Wish me luck with the good old MRI. Hope I get to get out for this year because I have seen those little guys starting to chase already.
this is when good buddies need to step up...4 wheeler you to a spot (even if you have to hunt on the ground)...then they need to be prepared to track/drag for you. Don't give up - good luck!
thats what I thought about getting to a ground blind but the problem is getting to it. hahaha its a long walk and currently there is no way I can get to it. I called my dad this mourning and was like dad so I fell off the roof and well I can't hunt is there anyway I could get you to go out and look to see if there is a spot where deer are moving that is an easy access for me to get to. He said he would go look so I am keeping my fingers crossed Ill let everyone know what I find out
thanks. Just got back from the DR. in Jacksonville he said that we would have to see what the MRI reads but he said for me not to get my hopes up on being able to do a ton of walking across plowed fields and up and down step slopes he said that the swelling should go down but right now its to hard to tell how bad it is
got a phone call from the DOC he says that if I come into his office tomorrow he will drain some of the fluid around the knee cap and we will do the MRI again the first one didnt show anything because of the swelling.
I will be nice here and offer to sit in your stand and keep it warm, until your well enough to take over maybe after the rut. OR Get a cortisone shot once a week until after the rut and go hunting, good luck.
