Hey guys just wondering if any of you know when or what days are the best to take off for the rut and whebn it will be at its best week 1st or second,,, i live in the northeast in mass thx
Every area is different do some searching around on the internet and look for rut predictions, everyone has their own "special" days for their own reasons typically I like end of October through November, But to each there own.
Anytime from about the last week of October through second week of November is going to be hot. For me, while its awesome to have bucks chasing does everywhere, its usually not my most productive. That last week of October leading to Halloween, if the temps are cold enough, is my favorite. Bucks are on their feet cruising, still acting "normal" and not running 100mph by you after a doe. When they're chasing, its almost impossible to pull them off a doe and you're only hope is to get the doe to you.
