Well I have a week left at my old Job. I will no longer drive 40+ miles to work every day. I am now working in Ohio and ten mins from my house. This means MORE hunting for me, being I can get to my hunting land in less than 20 mins now. The little pay bump did not hurt either, nor the extra week vacation I got in the deal.

Sweet deal Germ. I have a love hate relationship with my job, but the four weeks of vacation, 7 personal days, 5 sick days and 5am-2pm schedule afford me a lot of hunting time;)

Another new job? Dude, what is your longest tenure at a position? :)

Congrats on what sounds like a sweet deal. More $, less drive, more vacation... you'd be an idiot not to say yes to that! Therefore I was surprised by your decision ;)

J/K buddy. I hope it works out perfectly for you.

Its a lot more kid time too, and today your children need more time with you than the morons at school trying to indoctrinate them.

6 years, you have to remember changing jobs is the norm for most IT people. It's how we get raises, there is no place for me to go at my former job.

The least I have stayed at anyone Job is 2 years, since college I have worked for

    GM 6 years
    Cabela's 4 years
    ParishSoft 2 years
    ServiceBrands 4 years

So this is my fith job since college, being this is an IT company I will have a few more options.

Less, I control the access to websites at my current job, I remove all bowhunting.com entries from the log. I wrote a web service that runs every 30 mins that clears the logs:D

My trip is about 70 miles each way, every day. Can you feel the envy? Good for you Gary!
