    There's a bill to repeal the Pittman Robertson act. If you don't recall, is an excuse tax on some hunting gear paid by manufacturers, that is a key funding source for various fish and game departments, hunter safety courses and other programs.

    It proposes to replace funding from the LWCF...what's that? The land, water and conservation fund is a tax on leases from public lands and offshore, generally paid by oil companies and some other businesses, that pays for parks, public lands and various other projects.

    This sounds pretty inoculous, the money simply comes from another source, but it is a really bad idea at this point, especially with the the current admin push away from oil.
