Just found out the in-laws Christmas is this weekend and I'm heading out to my folks for the real Christmas weekend in another state. Looks like the only day I have left to hunt is the 31st. Unless I can get the 30th off, then I hunt then too.

I also hope there will be snow on the ground for that.

Hope we get some colder weather and some snow soon. This December has been way to warm. Hope all you guys have a great Christmas. I'm still hoping to put the one down.

Yeah I hope we get some cold weather too. I have the week after Christmas to hunt.

I did get myself an early Christmas present this last weekend. I went and bought a muddy hunter hang on, sticks, and harness.
Pretty pumped. Hopefully I can get them out at least once before the season end.

Good luck to all, Merry Christmas, and have a blessed holidays.

WOOOOOOOO!!!!! Got a doe this morning brothers! I truly had to earn this one. I haven't gotten a deer since my buck in '09. This was also my first bow kill.
The doe came in and I thought it was a coyote at first since she came through the brush. She came into the clearing at the bottom of the hill and I messed up and she caught me moving. She turned and ran back into the woods up to the top of the hill. Unfortunately, I had a shooting lane waiting for her. she was 40 yards. I did hit a little twig that made it a gut shot. I saw her run off our property and into an open field, headed towards a neighboring woods. At first I thought I had missed until I found a little puff a hair and an arrow about 15 feet away.
I'll post her up on the score card too.

Haha, man that is AWESOME!!! congrats on the kill and the recovery.

Our season ended today. Unfortunately I will be buck-less, but I only had 1 on my property I would have shot.

Thanks to all of you. Is everyone else done as well?

Yep, season ended for me Saturday without a buck. Glad to hear you got to fill the freezer indy. Too bad on your deer chart, hopefully next seasons goes a little smoother for ya.

My brother and I went out and set cameras up a bit ago. We're getting 20-30 deer in the field in the evening (of course not my field).
I got him into hunting this year and he jumped into it head first, then again, seeing an 8 point buck opening morning of your life will do that! lol. Anyways, we've been doing a lot of clearing for a food plot we're going to be planting in the spring.

Anyways, I was coming home last night and in the above mentioned field my headlight caught a buck... The biggest I've ever seen in my life. I have a 154 inch on the wall and this one made him look like a munchkin.
Pretty excited to see the results of the cameras.
