Wow did the weather take a turn this morning. I woke up to rain and low 40 temperatures! I am trying to find my motivation to go out after work and sit. I wish it would at least stop raining!

The weather is supposed to be PERFECT this weekend! And for the first time this season I am completely free and will be in a stand for a majority of the time. Best of luck to all of you. I finally saw my first great buck two nights ago so hopefully with weather in the 30s he will be up and moving.

How is everyone doing out there? These next couple weeks are going to be awesome! I love when the rut starts to kick in here in Illinois. I haven't seen too many bucks yet but I know it'll come here soon. I bagged another doe this weekend and I purchased my final two bow tags this year. Once I get my 5th and 6th I am done and will switch my focus to shotgun season. Good luck everyone!

It has been slow. My 14 year old missed 8 pointer last Thursday. He saw deer every sit but one on his 4 days off from school. My wife saw a few deer. I saw 2 deer in 6 sits, very frutrating. I am in a good area and in good stand but luck has not been on my side. I do try to get my son in the best stands but I am snake bit so far.

This month should produce good numbers for us! I'm really excited to see what yall can put down. I need a doe and I'll be out of the contest. Good luck to everyone this upcoming weekend! Let some arrows fly and bone fall!

Things have been good so far. I've had some close calls, but no deer yet. I'm happy I'm seeing them this year. I'm headed to a buddies property up by Green Bay for 2.5 days of non-stop hunting. I think we should have it timed pretty good and see some movement. I'll be looking for a good one for sure. Good luck to you guys in the best time of the year!

here are the pics!!!!! what do i have to do now for the points? do i have to contact someone?
pics dont do him justice, but he was 19.5" wide inside 5.5" bases with big mass and huge bladed brows!!!!
shot him at 7 yrds coming in to my decoy. he snort weezed and b lined in. my spitfire maxx's did the trick, i heart shot him and left myself a highway to follow. buck actually went 125 yds but the blood trail was huge and super easy to follow.
