So I am a hypocrite last summer my son was thinking about hosting a bachelor party at the lake, wife and I were not so sure it was a good idea. Bunch of drunken rubes I have never met before. Got a text and the daughter asked about having a bachelorette party at the lake, zero hesitation yes you can.
Yeah, AR is probably better off than NC and my neighbors going south. Clint just didn't have anything else to fuss about today Really, I don't understand the complaining about IL/NY or snow... If it bugs you that much, do something about it. It'll be 66 here tomorrow.
My personal cell is just that, personal. The company doesn't think I need a company cell and I agree with them. I got one nimrod that will call and call and call. Just to tell me that only a portion of a purchase order was delivered. "Do you want me to receive in the full amount"? If you ain't got the common sense you were born with, GTFO Another who will start calling at 6:15. My scheduled start time is 7 and he is well aware of that. He will call through out the day never leaving a message until 2:50. Then the message is "I need.....by end of day" which for him is in 10 minutes. Sorry pal, it will take longer than that to get it done.
You know he is going to try and collect off your auto policy and when that fails, your homeowners. Need to beat him to the punch and have your auto insurer go after him ASAP.
Watching the east coasters during the snow storm. You do not need goggles to walk down the street, it is like wearing a life jacket during a rain storm.
looks like a replay of the Groundhog's Day blizzard of 2012. Digging out the snowblower here in a few minutes. I'm not that far north of that 28"/Kankakee line. Also filling up a couple 5 gallon gas cans, and digging out the kerosene heater and salamander JIC.
You all know that we have some the dumbest people on the face of the Earth that live right here in America don't you?
FIFY, also had another in 2015. Here's what Lincoln is anticipating. I'm going with 14-17" here, up to 20 if get enough better bands.
I love snow actually, giddy as hell about the next 3 days. Actually, I love weather period, especially the extremes of it. Hate the death and destruction that it can cause, but weathers going to happen whether we like it or not. I choose to enjoy and follow it.
ah yes, 2011. Forgot I lived in a rental townhouse for a year before I bought my house-house in 2012. Was in the same town. That was a badass storm, and I had a Jeep TJ that I bombed around in all the next day. Had a blast. I actually miss that townhouse. Was perfect sized, in great shape, good location (for Illinois,) and it would have saved me over a hundred thousand in repairs and renos to "owned" houses since.
I have never lost a penny investing in real estate, actually an embarrassment of riches. Then again more land than house and 27 years of equity, but current property has gone up over $100,000 since we bought and all equity was put in the current property. I do not regret putting the equity and investment into the trust on the place. Only demand put on the kids, no air bnb no rental.
