"They" say if you have birds pecking at the wood you must have bugs. No those little bastards are evil.

Gotta admit SotaPop. Had bugs on my "wood" once and it kinda sucked:busted:

I was wrong earlier, not sapsuckers but red bellied woodpecker.
They are really doing damage to my cedar siding.
Next trip to Scheels, .22 birdshot.

I did not want to be critical and correct the downy woodpecker is as bad as a red squirrel. 22 birdshot sucks Gamo pellet hits and embeds in the wood you can just paint over the pellet.

Those days are way behind me:chewy:

The Downey woodpeckers , even though there are lots here, don't seem to cause me much trouble. It's the Harry's and Red Bellies that do.
And yep, .22 birdshot does suck but the feeder is only about 20 feet away and so far, it does ok.
Another 10 feet away woulndnt do well though.
I love feeding/ watching birds but it cost some $$ to feed them and I don't appreciate them hammering 9n my cedar siding.
    Fricken red squirrels..., it's insane...
Probably pushing 150 since this spring. Need more .22 shells also.

I do have to admit my experience with 22 birdshot is on squirrels not birds.

Sucks bad on squirrels, even at close range.

Back in the day(made some questionable choices) was staying at a friends house. He had a .22 revolver loaded with birdshot. Was a few there crashing so couch's and floor were utilized. No one wanted to get up to shut off the lamp. I fired that damn thing 3 times at the lamp and the pellets wouldn't make it through the shade to bust the bulb. I know I was hitting it because you could see the brightness where the pellets were breaking through.

That experience led me to the understanding how Cheney could shoot someone in the face and be nothing more than a national talking point

So we bought a mini lift that did not perform to the specifications so we wanted to return it, company jacket me around from July till I got the attorney involved now they act like they want to jump thru hoops. They owe me a refund of over $14,ooo. I do not take kindly to getting jerked around, I would pay $15,000 to make sure that this scammer is held accountable.
