was going to make the same point in my original reply but got wrapped around the axle on how callous someone could be to just shoot a healthy pup and then how twisted they would have to be to put it on your property...
I can't say I'd take it that far but killing puppies is damn disturbing and it's downright irresponsible to not get pets fixed and then let the pups wander all over and get killed. I still think they were originally hauled off, no way I believe pups that size followed adults over a mile away. It's not "impossible" but the chances are so stupid as to be 99% unlikely. Though it is possible his brother in law or sister hauled some of them off and he didn't know about it, they're the actual owners of the parents but they are at the sibling's mothers house/barn. Though he did let me know the day I took that one back that he'd shoot them if he had to, to get rid of them so I had fair warning and I left the little guy anyway, I just didn't have any room for another rescue dog. What really burned me was to think he may have shot it and dumped it over on my crop field to make some kind of sick point or out of sick humor. It was easy to jump to a wrong conclusion and my quick temper made it even easier. I usually keep it under control but in a case where dogs are concerned and it seems someone is doing something that sick my temper went full bore rage. The thought certainly crossed my mind he'd deserve to have a few head of cattle fall over dead in his pasture if what appeared to be true actually was...not that I'd do that. The other thing is you should see the puppies sire...holy chit, that thing is massive and his head looks like it's a foot wide. I've never seen the dog I was scared of but I admit that sob is intimidating. I'm not sure I'd be thrilled to have his clone running around my other pets at home or or my folks place. He literally looks like he could take on wild boar or bear. Cool looking dog though and I could tell he was happy I brought his pup back that day.
I'm not an animal behavior expert but don't some canids pick up and move their young as part of denning behavior? Just putting that out there. Again, he is the one who originally said he might shoot them so it was an easy conclusion to jump to. I don't know about your area but I'd venture to guess that a large imposing tiger-striped pup (especially male) wouldn't last long at the pound. Get snatched up in a heartbeat around here. Not necessarily by the right kind of owner, but still.
Dang thought I stepped in a pile of dog crap but no I was just getting off a plane in Michigan, hey Germ sorry I won't have time to meet for lunch.
In Michigan it's a Pot Hole you stepped in, in fact SE Michigan is rated the worst for roads in America I believe.
Yeah that crossed my mind except the pup I found was out in the middle of a mowed pasture with nothing around, no other dogs, no shelter or anything and there were three others back at the neighbors house with the sire and dam. Yeah I know the type that generally likes that type of dog, I don't know how fast they'd get snatched up around here. Neighbor said his nephew was going to try to give them away at walmart this week.
Airport not roads. The detroit airport is my second most hated behind Atlanta, although Toronto is in the running.
Miami, hands down. Followed by LaGuardia. Internationally it's Frankfort. Even when connecting via same airline (Lufthansa) you have to leave customs-controlled areas twice and get rescreened.
White Privilege. This screen on this webpage is white. How convenient. This screen has white privilege.
sorry to hear that. God you'll be in the air longer than on the ground. At least Lufthansa stewardesses are mostly friendly, usually attractive; the booze is free and so is the TV.
whether it's official or not I believe it. Was driving through Flint to Jackson last summer and my wife (never been in the area) was trying to take a nap. She finally gave up, sat up and and yelled "are you trying to hit every GD bump in the road? Quit driving like an a-hole!" I said "I'm not the a-hole. That's Pure Michigan."
Yeah that’s usual for me though. I’ll be going back there again next week too but this time for longer. Worst one I did recently was Miami to Qatar then back the other way to Tahiti, all inside a week.
Are Michigan roads actually worse than the roads in Wisconsin? Wisconsin I thought is rated one of the worst in the nation for road quality.
