Me either until I googled “what is the stiffest hunting boot”. I was looking at Hoka running shoes not to long ago though. Never made it over to the other side of town to try them on. My brooks are about done for though
I love my Keen Pittsburghs. Of course im indoors but on concrete all day. Ive tried Redwings, Thoroughgoods, Ariat, Justin, Timberlands, Irish Setter(made by Redwing) and i know theres more than that. For me, inside on concrete, these are my most comfortable pair so far.
Dear Costumer, yeah I dont dress up that often. But honestly, just like I told the guy after receiving the extended car warranty and suspended Social Security calls. "I cannot wait until Pakistan gets the nuclear capability to bomb you goat humping Indians back into the stone age." You would not believe the disparaging comments they made about my mother...
I finally got a pic of a good buck only to get a text from a buddy of mine 2 days later that shows said buck hanging upside down in someone’s garage. Apparently the one neighbor man was watching the buck one morning and it was acting strangely then just fell over Kate’s there and died. Game commissioner was going to get it and check it out I guess to see what was wrong with it. Figures!!!!! I usually only have one descent buck in the area and now he’s gone. Very curious what’s wrong with it. Guts don’t look good. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
The only thing worse then never ending home improvement projects is people finding out you did it yourself and you are good at doing them. My vinyl flooring project seems to be a big hit with them. So far my new list of flooring projects has been expanded to... 1. The wife - the office, back entryway and now the upstairs ( 4 rooms up there ). 2. Son - 2 rooms at his house. 3. Boss's wife - 2 rooms 4, Daughter - 2 rooms at their town house. I am going to enjoy that. Her husband, " Doesn't do Manual labor ". Worthless pecker-head is going to while I am there. So looking forward to seeing blisters, bloody injuries and hearing him cry about his aching back/ knees after a weekend of crawling on the floor. I think it will be a great bonding time !! 5. Brother-in-law - 1 room. He has helped me a lot over the years. Great guy and always fun to work with him. 6. Brother - 2 rooms The wife says I need to learn to say no to people. I asked if that included her. The evil look I got pretty much answered that question.
I've come to the realization that home improvement projects are like trying to fill in a bottomless pit. Has anyone ever been completely done with all of the things on their "list"? Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
No !!! Not in old houses. If something breaks, you usually find 10 other things wrong while fixing or replacing what broke. Take our simple... wife wants a new vanity for the bathroom. She finds the vanity she wants but now the medicine cabinet will clash with it. She picks out a medicine cabinet but now I need to put in a electrical outlet cause you can't hardwire it in like the old one. Might as well replace the other electrical outlet while I am at it. Since we are removing the vanity, we should do something with the flooring which leads to pulling the toilet. That leads to replacing the copper water pipe to pex. Since I am there, I might as well replace the copper lines to pex for the vanity, tube and shower. That lead to getting mad and replacing all the copper lines with pex in the basement so I don't ever have to look at a copper water line again. That lead to replacing the tube faucet since it had seen better days. Painting the walls and ceiling to match the vanity and medicine cabinet. All that and 2 weekends lost to putting in a simple Vanity. The wife was happy. I am pretty sure I took years off my life, a little bleeding here and there, mental anguish and can still cuss with the best of them. It also sucks when you get charlie horses or muscle spasms when you are working in a small awkward place. My body can't take that anymore like it used to.
Only 10 things!? Lucky you... My wife and I joke about the time I went to put new address numbers on our house and it cost about $17k chasing semi rotting fascia which had to be painted and then led to painting all the wood trim and somehow replacing the wood shingles on a gable end that just had to have a new copper gable end vent. The joy of a historic home.
I also have another one today. Anybody that drives below the speed limit in the middle lane of a major highway deserves to get all unused beverages thrown at them from moving vehicles. Unused slurpee's, drinks, yeah even salad containers deserve to get thrown of those people. All without legal repercussion.
