I've got to think they believe the population is too high (maybe slated for development or high # wrecks) and intent is reduce numbers. If so, start offering up your concern and suggesting alternatives.

Worst they can say is no.

Oh I will and I'm pretty sure all other BH will too. Also we are surrounded by m a NY strategists that allow gun hunting in seasonseveral surround lakes where people go in the fall to hike in the changing leaf color. Many with their dogs. This is hill country where one second you see alls clear and the next someone is standing there. Landowners want to enjoy doing their fall chores without getting shot and farmers are out harvesting and planting fall crops amongst the highest deer hunter populations, many not locals..
At the very very least make it shot gun only. Having this in just a few areas will bring in every Tom, **** and Elmer Fudd from the non hunting areas. Just make getting farmers nuisance tags easier. Give land owers the option to get said tags. Before going hog wild in just a few areas.

We all switched to rifles a few years ago. I'm in the Finger lakes region, camps in the southern tier 8x. They're rifle now too.

    P.S.
I Still use shot gun or ML only.

    Ugh?
Have you lived in N.Y. ? Because I've personally delt with this crap. From guys bowhunting against a full moon and drawing down on my goats!, from the bed of a truck,To shots at 2a.m. to find iced over tire tracks with foot prints and bloody drag in the snow. ..ect,ect...your right UGHHHH!

Not from this devise though the out door news said it is in the final NYS deer management proposal and they are excepting comments until Sometime in Aug.
If you can maneuver the DEC web site you should find the proposals there. I can't read pdfs from this devise either and nearly everything is that format for down loads. They down load but then I can't get them to enlarge so I can actually read them.
It also gave the minimum for amounts or orange and pink for body a head required the dates ,Second Saturday for 9 days. And which units. A few mentioned were no gun,I think Westchester. They also mentioned the Holiday hunt in Dec/January. Which I'm for, also some bear changes in the Catskill area I believe.

Previous owners of boats. I am going thru the latest boat getting ready to put a good depth finder in. I am in the process of tearing out all the other crap that was wired in and removing speakers old radio wire etc. I am ripping out the live well pump and all that junk as well as the bilge pump and all the associated wiring. I am taking off the 4hp 4 stroke trolling motor off, going to take every ounce of weight I can out of the boat. While it will be used for fishing it is mostly a ski and tube pulling boat.

You should see the wiring in my boat. EVERY wire is the same color-orange.

He told me he was a mechanic. I replied, yeah, but I know you ain't no electrician!

Never really thought about it, but where does the money go and how do they reintroduce it into the system?

Dispensaries can only take cash because it is illegal at the Federal level. So somewhere IL has 369.7 million dollars in cash, what can they pay with it(aside from lining their pockets) that wouldn't be considered money laundering? They can't deposit it into a bank, they can't draw interest on it.
