This is slowly gearing up to being a rant. Another thunder boomer is on us with rain in tow. A 6 hr. head start on what's suppose to be an all day rain tomorrow.
Rain and muggy weather finally out of the forecast here for the Independence Day weekend. Have had over 5" of rain the past 2 weeks with most falling the last 7 days.
Sort of a rant..I'm in a store I shop often. I happen to stop to read some product and it's near the customser service desk. Manager is having a conversation with associate and seemed agitated. Next thing I know I hear a stern " is there something I can help you with?!" I look up to a pizzed face looking at me. "Uh no I'm reading the products thanks.. OK she's training a bunch of nim rods , been there done that. I move around and see an obvious wrong pricing .. I checked and double checked label,to product . Really wrong price 1/4 of actual price. So I decide to be honest and not hold her feet to fire forcing the price legally listed. Excuse me but this just can't be the correct price. OMG, out of her mouth comes this.. " like I need you coming in today pointing out another thing I'm doing wrong" WTH! Ok..me " listen you know I plant,so I know prices. I just didn't want to see you screwed" Now I said it with a smile and in a light hearted way...we exchange war stories and as I left she called out." Thanks for saving me a bunch of money, have great weekend. I could have not handled her bad day well, though it wouldn't have made me feel better. I left her feeling like not everyone's an azz hole . Being in retail management that can be an imbedded feeling. I left in a better mood
Next weekend my son's high school friends are coming to the lake. I coached everyone of those rubes from 2nd grade in football and basketball, going to be fun, but pretty sure I will be happy to see them go. I may just blow a whistle Sunday morning and say get the f out. In my defense those lads have never heard me curse while I coached them but if they could have read the cartoon bubble of my thoughts.
I gotta move, soon. The other night with neigbors visitors and their lost keys fiasco, and tonight I see something that looked weird. Wemt to window and confirmed. Who the eff walks their cat on a leash? Hard to tell but it's tail is bushed out because it flipped out when a car drove by. I mean WTF? And yeah, my neighbor and his lawn care is another peeve.....
Given that you also live in IL; I think it's hilarious that the straw that breaks your back is a cat on a leash.

Cats are like homing pigeons, they return to where they are fed. Sure, some end up as a squirrel in the road but they are not like a run amok dog for the most part. I've spent 15k over the 14 years I have had my dog to keep him safe. No exaggeration on that number. I was initially reluctant on my cat going outside at all, but never thought about putting a leash on her. She gives two chits either way, she knows where the food bowl lies and luckily never leaves either of 3 backyards. She is always on edge as pictured.... Sleeps with one eye open, devil cat, no doubt. Gotta go, she knows I'm talking about her....
yeah, no way I will have one of those demons in my home. 'Sides the fact that both dogs would kill it in a heartbeat, I just can't abide them as a pet. Barn cats are another story.
Better their cat on a leash than pizzing on your steps, deck,****ing in your garden or flower boxes, etc etc ...besides ppl tend to get dogs rabies shots more so than cats...
I never really have much to rant about but these guys keep coming out and help keep my beans trimmed. I didn't realize they were out there when I let my dogs out but I called my dogs to stay close. The deer moved onto the neighbors beans and kept watch on the dogs and I. After we came back in I had 2 nice bucks go through my beans but I wasn't fast enough with the camera. Trust me, a cat was not on my list. Here's the story of how it came about. Friend of mine, who is a dog groomer and overall animal lover came across a stray cat who was friendly. Posted on facebook looking for a good home, cat was friendly with dogs(she had 3). Cat had jumped into her sons car while he was at a friends house. Anyhow, I came into posession of said cat, as my dog no longer had a "friend". Few days later she tells me cops are on the way, cat was stolen or at least reportred so. Cops and owner shows up, kid says the cat farts a lot and I said it was theirs, no doubt about it. Gave the 20lb bag of meow mix I bought and wisjed them well. My mom decides I need another cat, her and my sister bring two sibling farm kittens, I have one now, admittedly took the other to a ritzy subdivision and let her find a new home. They were too wild as a pair.
My male dog is a proficient cat killer. We have a feral cat problem at our bar. He keeps the herd thinned down. I never thought it would be possible but we trained him to leave my wife's 2 indoor cats alone. It wasn't easy but we did it. We can and have left the 2 cats and 2 dogs alone in the house for hours at a time. We were worried but so far so good. The cats seem to think they rule the roost but have learned through a couple close calls to leave the big guy alone. They will go toe to toe with the other dog and sometimes chase her. She's 70 lbs. Just to show it can be done. We don't know what would happen if her cats got outside when Jones was there. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
I've always had great eyesight....but the last couple years my aging eyes are hurting with objects about 2 feet and closer to my eyes. Reading glasses may become a reality here soon. Crap
effing LCD screens, man. Blue light is the devil. I am about to buy some blue light blockers from https://www.blublox.com I spend over half my day on average on a screen nowadays. Hate it. I have noticed my eyes are much sharper in the AM before I get on a screen. Must be something to it, worth trying.
