My hatred for yellow jackets far outweighs my fear of getting a shot of skunk squirt on me, so the striped bastards get a free pass. Skunks dig those nests out right at the time yellowjackets get the most aggressive. Get em pepe.

Used the last of the coffee yesterday, forgot to tell my wife when she went to the store. She doesn't drink coffee so she didn't notice. No coffee this morning and no one to blame but myself.:bigcry::rant:

Guess who had to spend an hour on his roof this AM first removing, then clearing out gutter guards in the pouring rain to start his day today?

    upload_2021-6-25_9-8-40.png

I effing HATE them. I will never, ever own another house within 200 yards of these bastards.
Would cost me $3000 to have it removed. It's about 5' in diameter and 60' tall. Then there's several others on the neighbors property on either side of me.

I would imagine the cost of dropping it on a fence or the neighbors may very well exceed the current bid...

And in related news... Windows 11...and updates to Teams... Reading the article below, the first thought that comes to mind is 'so, like Lync or Skype?' 20210625_103514.jpeg

Indeed I do, HOWEVER, the material I am cutting is 16x12.5x3.5. A cheap chop saw is not going to cut it (pardon the pun) the way I need it. A sliding miter saw is what might make the cut. But the cuts are going to be angled to the face of the stone as this will cap a circular wall. Would be hard to hold it in place.

I made a cheap jig to hold the block and added so sacrificial wood on the bottom so that I can clamp a straight edge over the block and make "perfect" cuts.

I did not spend what I did on this project (and time spent) just to f it up now.

Bob is correct on both those points and also my own roof.

You'd need a boom truck to drop the limbs safe. Then, the tree also actually is on 3 properties. Mine, my next door neighbor are residential, the property to the rear is ag but is a drainage ditch. My neighbor already declined to help pay, and while he did give permission to have the boom truck on his property (mine is fenced and a truck would have to straddle the line either way) he said if it effs up his sprinkler system I'd be responsible...and his sprinkler system would definitely get effed up.

“Nike is a brand that is of China and for China,” Donahoe said during a call with Wall Street analysts after being asked about the backlash Nike received in China for having expressed concern about human rights abuses in Xinjiang.

Nike, along with other American corporations like Coca-Cola and Apple, has also pushed back on legislation in Congress that would crack down on forced labor in China.

Yeah I take a half day on Friday's when the Grandson is at the lake. I got to work at 7 Friday morning and left at 2 pm plus I brought home sales orders to code for commission. I took calls and checked emails till 5:00, when I take a work call at home my wife tells me to take the call in the garage and leave it out there when you are done. Plus after 31 years I have a few days of vacation in the bank, I do not recall ever using all my vacation days.

Not a rant but not sure where else to put this. Last night I had one of those really strange and vivid dreams where you remember parts of it even after you wake up. Basically when I woke up from the dream it was at a point where my buddy and I had rabies, the FBI was looking for us, and we were hiding out in our lab inside a volcano at a miniature golf course and attempting to make a rabies cure. We got the rabies from trapping live squirrels and raccoons in NC and smuggling them into California for our fake conservation non-profit. I don’t remember much else other than at some point I was trying to fix a broken window a/c unit in a life-size fiberglass dinosaur because it was getting too hot and all the snapping turtles hidden inside it were about to die. Really wish I could remember the whole dream. It seems like we had a pretty lucrative scheme going until we caught rabies and the government found out.
