Was planning my own rant. Ordered off eBay, chose to filter by location nearest me expecting to get it faster. Nope, 5 days for it to go from Chitcago to Springfield 200'ish miles away. 5 freaking days for a 3 hour drive
I was going to post this in the BTIL thread the other day but I forgot... You know you're rank when you wake the dog up from a dead sleep, it looks at you with disgust, and leaves the room.
My rant for the day- spider bites: That sucker is about the size of a quarter. And before any of you smart alecks say anything, I shaved that area so I could stick a Neosporin-laced Band-Aid over it last night
not sure if that joking about my leg shaving technique or if Nair works on spider bites, but I was about ready to try anything yesterday. First night I saw it I used hydrocortisone, which I think only made it mad, followed by 2 nights of Neosporin, which seems to have stopped the spread but not the pain, then right after I took that pic I made an Epsom salt paste and put that on a gauze pad and strapped that on. Seems to be working, although I think that whole red area is going to die, scab and scar. Might have been a brown recluse, which if so means my house has brown recluse, so I have that going for me.
If it's a Brown Recluse you'll know fairly quickly as the bite area sinks while the tissue dissolves. I'd probably die from a bite from one with my allergies. Keep an eye on it and get treatment if needed, they're not a specimen to take lightly.
If you got Nair in an open would it would be a sensation that would make you forget about the wound completely.
I am. Few years ago, one of my buddies had to get a pretty big chunk of his back cut out from a necrotic brown recluse bite. Mine won't be able to sink too much, it's directly over my shin bone. Maybe 1/8" of tissue over the bone. The Epsom salt salve is doing its job. Pulled a bunch of pus/venom out and is desiccating the infected area. It will probably be well on it's way to scabbing tomorrow. Going to look like a bullet wound when the scar forms.
So,.... I’m a whole week into an extensive bathroom remodel. I spent the entire day today taping, painting, removing tape, etc. The wife, who picked out the color (I’m colorblind) realized, after EVERYTHING was hooked back up, of course, that they had mixed the wrong color. It looked okay to me. I was quietly fuming at the lost day and she made the comment “I don’t think you understand how angry I am right now”. Quite a few possible replies popped into my mind but I settled on a somewhat anti-inflammatory “I’m pretty sure I do”. I guess there are some times it’s best not to speak your mind.
I should have added... to my first reply, cuz I was tracking. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
