Jeeeez man, how did you not burn more hair off! Those flash burns really do hurt. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I had a grilling incident a few years back burned my legs, the antibacterial cream hurt like a ***** when it soaked it.
I'll likely be done with winter tomorrow as the temps get into the 50's with a minimal snow pack remaining after today. I know that winter will not be over until mid to late April, never fails to get a cold snap during morel season, but generally the first 50 degree day after Valentines Day changes my aspect on seasons. Any snows after that are generally short lived as the sun angle, length of daylight and seasonal normals all work against lasting cold/snow cover. Generally lasts about a week or less when it happens here.
Good grief, glad it wasn't worse and all seems OK for the most part. Almost looks like you were listening for a leak, and sucks that it happened, but at least it was during the colder months. Would suck to have that happen during an Independence Day cookout or something, where heat and sweat are more prevalent.
The cream sucks pretty bad but the whole washing it and scraping all the crusty stuff off 3 times per day is far worse. Still don’t know what caused it to light off. There was nothing electrical or flaming nearby and I’d already been touching it for several seconds so I don’t see how I could still have any static left to make a spark.
I wish I had gone to the ER just for pain meds. I did recover I caught my first redfish without a guide out of a kayak on that trip. The hanging puss bags will be a nice touch.
I was actually sniffing for the leak, I normally listen for one but there was a river running over the top of a 40’ high dam like 50 yds away so it was impossible to hear one. As far as determining whether or not there was a leak, this did prove to be a highly accurate test.... everybody within 100ft was able to tell that there was a rather large leak once they heard the boom and saw my flaming ass jump off the porch and go rolling across the yard.
Well for a redfish that might’ve been worth it. I’m kind of regretting turning down their pain meds offer. It was painful but bearable when I went to the burn center sunday morning so figured I could just tough it out with ibuprofen instead of risk getting hooked and turning into a junkie but it has gotten a whole lot worse since then. Probably going to see if they’ll give me something when I go for a follow up tomorrow.
It’s only really bad if I try to talk, or smile, or frown, or laugh, or blink, or chew, or drink, or turn my head, or do anything else that requires some part of my face to move
I used a shot process, 2 shots vitamin Jimmy, wait 15 minutes apply the gel have another shot. Some of my leg hair has not grown back. Pain is weakness leaving your body.
You *******... just had to go and make me laugh. If I feel a sneeze coming on I’m definitely going to hold that bastard in. Just going to hope I am right that the whole holding in a sneeze will make your **** fall off thing is just an old wives tale.
The redfish hit my second cast in a back bay in a mangrove flat. My wife figured we would not catch fish on our own, it is easier than freshwater fishing, if you fish the tides.
Funny thing is that bay fills up with jumping mullets makes you think active fish biting, nope. Damn fish jump like crazy all over the place but they are vegetarians.
You go down to certain backwoods parts of Eastern NC people actually eat those nasty things. I got to try them once. One of those few types of food that not even breading and a deep fryer can fix. If tuna is the chicken of the sea, then mullet is definitely the possum of the sea.
Damaged some cartilage in my lower ribs last December after a 4 wheeler accident which required going to urgent care because I thought I broke some ribs... They couldn't do anything for me except give me muscle relaxers. Woke up Saturday to pain in that same area and it hurt to breathe, sit, stand, and lay down since. Such a sharp intense pain at times. Vicodin doesn't even help. Heat pads and ice packs for the next few weeks with little physical activity.
