Noticed today my wife is getting the local accent, she was talking about a coworker Don, I asked who the hell this guy is she said no Don a woman, her name is Dawn. Evidently northern MN accent Dawn is pronounced Don.

First snow and all of the neighborhood boys are out playing with their toys.....

But nobody thinks to plow out the mom and daughter who works as nurses....

I’ll do it when I finish work, but shaking my head in the meantime.

The first thing I did this morning was ours and the widow across the street, she always makes me homemade hot cocoa and brings it out in her Laura Ingalls PJ's

I think I've mentioned it once before... These jagwagons with "Back the Blue" bumper stickers doing 20-30 over the speed limits and ignoring every other law on the books. You really want to show your support for law enforcement!? Obey the law. It's just that simple. I'm more convinced now then ever people with these bumper stickers and black flag/thin blue line plastered all over their truck are ne'er do wells hoping a LEO will cut them some slack when they get pulled over and that's about it. They drive like meth heads, think like pollacks and look as dumb as they act. I need a vacation, rant over.

Not complaining but I had my tractor and dump truck ready for snow at the end of October. I have not had to plow yet.

    I hope this keeps up!

Hubby and I spent all day shoveling and plowing. I hand shoveled half the drive and mail box. Then he used the tractor on the rest and cleaned all vehicals

I haven't said it for a while, 'People are morons'.

Not just your commuters, can't recall how many times I've seen instances of your big time drug dealers having donated to drug enforcement agencies via documents found after the search/raid.

It's almost as if they feel they are being placed on a nice list and taken off of any sort of radar if a complaint comes in on them or their name is associated with someone else.

I feel the same way at times.

Contrary to what has been discussed earlier, I drive the left lane on 4 lane divided highways(two each direction divided by a median). I often have to use the right lane to pass others in left lane lolly-gagging along. If I see someone approach from behind I will move to the right lane and let them go by, silently hoping they distract that trooper a mile or more up the road and allow me to get home safely on my own time. I pass too many cars on longer commutes to keep changing lanes, I choose the "fast lane" and commit to going fast. Usually when someone does pass me I wonder what illegal substance they have in the car, seems most major highway busts are brought on by speeding or equipment malfunctions.

My fast is usually 14-15mph over the limit on open highways, my normal is about 9-12 over the limit on multi lane or less traffic highways. You want to drive faster than me, more power to ya, I'll gladly let ya pass.

State and county hwys to the freeway I set the cruise at 64 mph, freeway I set the cruise at 80-85 mph speed limit is 70. I will speed up to get around another vehicle to get in the right lane to allow a faster driver pass me. I don't get pissed and I don't get tickets.
