The guy installs and services the lights, I would have to take them down, she was quoted white lights and only the front of the house would be decorated. We are not doing told her to buy something permanent rather than something temporary.
You know it's funny, but next time she gives me s41t for having 5 bins of hunting gear "clogging up the crawlspace all year for something that only lasts a month" I'm going to pull them out and stack them next to the 8 bins of Christmas crap she's got. I'll probably end up sleeping in the crawlspace for a month but it will at least be cleared out.
46 and still climbing ladders, steep roofs and lets not forget the two and three story homes... but no way in hell I'd hang my own Christmas lights. We happily pay a service that provides the lights to hang and take down. This is the first year in awhile that we are not hanging lights though, the ice storm has made landscaping crews that hang lights scarce. I havent even gone to buy a tree yet and since we are doing virtual Christmas I dont think I'm going to.
I was taking a run the other day and as I came down the hill I see this middle aged guy on the very top of his two story roof. His teenaged daughter was on the first floor roof and the rest of the family on the ground as they all worked together to hang the Christmas lights. The dude has no safety gear on and fast walks down from the top of the roof. I about crap my pants watching him. As he descends he takes the last hit of his cigarette and then flips the rest of it at his teen daughter. LOL. That guy must be a riot and torment that family.
Lol, my post was more meant to be funny about the age old "one goes out, they all go out!" thing, but... Fought 3 different strings last year. They were bought new the year before. Strings are identical to each other and have several different sections tied together in series. Worked fine when I took them down. Went through all 3 strings replacing each bulb one by one with a known good bulb, managed to get one going that way. The other two strings had more than one bad bulb. Bought one of those bulb testers, much better method. Ran out of spare bulbs. No one had any with the same type of base. Ended up buying some with a weird extended tip on the bottom of them and then snipping it off with side cutters. I would've been out some money if someone had showed up in the middle of that debacle and offered me to contract the job out. Amazingly, all three strings worked fine this year. I think last year my kid's damn elf on a shelf guy made a trip down into the basement early in the month before I got to putting them up. He's a mischievous little devil, you should see some of the situations we find him in. (I think I have more fun with the elf than the kid does)
I finally got the toaster fine tuned to properly toasting english muffins, and this morning my wife has toast and readjusts the toaster you reset it back to english muffin and it nukes it.
This also could go in the Covid or Political thread. This makes zero sense and that judge should immediately be removed. https://www.foxnews.com/us/former-b...agrees-he-is-too-obese-to-survive-coronavirus Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Sweet Jesus! Chow must be pretty good where they had him. Should have put him on a diet and kept him locked up.
Life should mean life. England now gets to deal with him. Maybe some street thug will put an end to him
Damn it there is an ice boat on craigs list perfect year ice on the lake no snow, one out of 5 years good ice boating and I have no place to store it but it is worth it, 6" off the ice flying.
Pisses me off driving down the freeway, semis that get in the left lane to pass another semi and do not accelerate.
