I would trade you for this 78 degree crap we have going on here. 2nd straight year that the entire rut has consisted of highs in the 70's and lows in the 60's.
30 vehicle pile up on 94 this morning in Monticello, 15 semis all crashed then the semi filled with tractor tires caught fire. Freeway was still closed. I grew up in Monticello so I know the back ways but still added 45 minutes to an 83 mile commute.
AT&T. Made an appointment for a tech to come out today. First that bs 8am-noon window, okay its difficult to take a half day off but fine. Reschedule all my appointments from 8am to noon. They never show. Don't have time to think about it bc I have to go hustle double time. 1.45pm, the tech calls and says he is on the way. Great, let me call a customer twice to reschedule again, and call the others as I drive back to the house. This has cost me an entire day now. All for internet. Do y'all know how many AT&T vehicle tires im going to have to slash to make up for my lost time today!? I calculated it to be 23.4.
Well that's just silly.... As a slash is a cut it's impossible to do such at .4. unless of course you break out the top hat and long jerry curl wig and rock out to sweet child o mine. Ps if that is the case please stream it. /Fanboy
Just daydreaming.. this tech is a nice guy and I know it is not his fault, it is Raheem in the call center located in Calcutta. A whole day though. Who has time for that? Then again, maybe I'm the one doing it wrong when I set appointments and have the old school philosophy of if you arrive 5 minutes early, you're already ten minutes late. All I know is I'm done with it and hiring a "residential manager" and not dealing with this crap anymore.
Tangent. When I call an apparent call center, and they use a very Anglo name (John, Bob, Mike)... Oh, the fun is on... Mind you, 60% of the people I work with are IndianI and I know it is some companies (lame) policies to try to garner points with customers...
I had been at work for 2 hours before that accident happens. I have found that it is much less frustrating to leave earlier and avoid the most of rush hour, I get to work an hour or more early, I also get a lot done with nobody there to bug me.
My wife wants to make ham in addition to turkey on thanksgiving, Thanksgiving is a turkey holiday damnit.
So I still scan Craigs list for boats, not sure why I am not in the market but habit I guess. Yesterday I see an ad for a vintage Alumacraft boat, I have owned more than a few vintage Alumacrafts so I know a thing or 2. This guy had his listed as a 1954 Alumacraft Flying C. In the 50's Alumacraft made a Deep C a Flying D and a Queen Merrie. I texted him that the boat is a flying D and explained where to find the hull number on the transom knee send that to Alumacraft and they will give you the year and model of the boat. The guy went nuts calling me every name in the book insisting I was an idiot. That is why I no longer help random people on the internet.
^^^ Call him back and tell him that you want to come have a look at the boat. Then you can point out his inadequacies in person!
He left me 2 voicemails while I was sleeping calling me a nimrod dumbass and he would have me arrested if I contacted him again. Kinda funny when somebody who is uninformed and dead wrong calling me a nimrod dumbass. I sure hope that he learns the truth and realizes he is a dumbass, doubt that will happen.
