Naked yoga by the lakeside window is sure fire way to keep anyone from fishing right off your dock and beach.
Wife's rig broke down asked the guy to change the oil he charged $36. The tow was only $120 too. What a bargain.
my rant for the day- last bite of scrambled eggs chomp into a big ol' piece of eggshell. Crunch crunch
We have an e-mailing idiot who is in caps lock all the time, every single e-mail I get from him makes me want to throat punch him.
Have an uncle who several years back had a restaurant he owned go under. After that happened he got a job as manager of a Jiffy Lube for a bit. Now, my uncle was kinda a sleazy guy in some respects. The kind of guy who would knowingly buy stuff that fell off the back of a truck. Anyway, he only lasted at JL for about a month and quit because they were too sleazy for him. He said the MGMT training actually included strategies on how to pressure and upsell people, especially young customers, women and old people. How they would pull that "well, we were under the car and saw this (insert made up safety hazard here) so we had to fix it because we couldn't be liable for letting you go back out on the road like that" crap. Were putting sand or metal shavings in trans or transfer case "samples" to freak people out into getting flushes, and they would just put the old fluid right back in. I think maybe 20/20 or 60 mins had an episode dedicated to their tactics.
325 bucks to license and register a 25 year old vehicle. Thanks Illinois, I know that money will be put to good use. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
No you are right. I had it locked in center glove box which they broke getting into. I have to say partially my fault
My eyes are so tired from looking at the computer all day. I hate this time of year. Have to create and send out all my purchase agreements.
I drove on expired plates for a year. Said screw em. Then get re registered. New license plates for $130. I’ll take the chance on a ticket. They’ve gone over the line
Ah yeah, the title. I gotta say IL vehicle registration fees are actually reasonable. But they gouge you on everything else to keep it they way
I gotta disagree, the fees are out of control and not going to get better. They can't spend money right if it saved their lives so they speak the need to jack up rates to cover the expenses. Sadly that new money does not go where it is intended either. I hope Trump fights them tooth and nail over state bail outs in Covid relief legislation. They will misspend that money and line theirs and their owns pockets with it. My boat trailer sticker went up from $18 to $118, that's a bit excessive and extreme, yet some motorcycle lobby head probably contributed a small chunk to Madigan's pockets and motorcycle plates were exempted from any increase whatsoever. It's one of the main reasons I bought a lifetime hunting and fishing license when it is marginally worth it to do so due to age, but it's one of the last places they have yet to go to stick it to the people. Won't be long before they start raising recreation fees, and then it will have been worth it.
That's true, toys and trailers went up an ungodly amount the past year. But passenger vehicles aren't that bad. Prior to the recent raises Illinois was way less than Indiana for example.
