So I get a voice mail from my Dad's brother. My Dad had told him I bought a lake place and was wondering when he could come on up with some friends and family. Granted the guy did not have my number in his phone, we are not close at all. Damn shame the house is booked full every weekend till the ice comes on.

I had to call Diggers hot line to have my gas line located so the concrete guys could put in the forms for a side walk. I put in my comments "only need to locate the gas line from the meter to the driveway". Dumb twat called me on the phone and said my comment was "confusing" and needed to be removed. Tried to explain I only needed a 5 foot section of my property located for the gas line. The phone line and electric were no where near the work area. After almost 5 minutes of trying to get her to see the light, I finally just gave up and said take out the comments. I was home when the power company and phone company came to locate. Told them both what happened and that I only needed the gas line located. They asked if "XXX" was the person who called. Yup. That's her. Guess she does this all the time.
This past November my brother and I were driving past our only somewhat nearby neighbor,s hunting camp, We saw more than usual smoke coming from their chimney area so we stopped to check it pout ! nobody around, found out they were in town enjoying prehunt supper, so we actually saw fire starting in north wall. I called 911, Woman on other end after I told her we are noticing a fire asked me first how and why we started the fire, Not where is it ????? Tried to explain we were driving by, next she asked how we noticed it !!!!! I finally lost ,my cool, told her the location and to get fireman here asap !! She told me not to get huffy, I hung up ! 35 minutes later a county sheriff showed up, asked me where the fire department was ???? ANDY and Barney !!!!
Opening the mailbox every day in fear of seeing the start of the surgery bills, tr day arrived today. Hopefully there's not many more left........
