It got better for a while.. and the last 4-5 years it went down again... the drug wars are really bad.
My wife watching some sweedish subtitled bullshit on the netflix. I drive 80 miles an hour to get home and end my day watching her watch that. Rather she watch the british bake show for the 10th time.
Sorry for the like Sota, but that made me laugh. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
So drove into the city today to see the son's new house, actually the shell of the house they are having it gutted. I had not driven into the city since the last time I was at the Airport in March. What a crap hole chock full of freaks and a-holes, they drive like a-holes just sucks. As soon as I got in the truck to head home I said I need to get back to Upsala. The other rant is about my son, he buys a 100 year old house. The house like many of the era has beautiful oak trim, oak built in hutch, beautiful crown molding, oak handrail up the stairs, oak mantle around the fireplace. It is all getting ripped out. My son did the design and I accused him about the house plan of being masibitory doodling based on his design schooling. That and they have too much damn money to be practical. Hell I bought a house and remodeled it while I lived in and did it myself. Damn kids, they just bought the property and got a construction loan after paying a premium for the neighborhood they just had to be in.
Ive had this really awesome toad down in my basement workshop for a couple weeks. I really enjoy watching him tongue murder insects that I draw in when I’ve got the lights on and the door open at night and would kind of like for him to stick around. I’m a little worried he is getting somewhat obese from all the insects, he has put on a couple ounces at least, and may be dehydrated since there is no water source for him down there. Anybody know how to care for a toad? Should I give him a water bowl or maybe a wet sponge like a hermit crab? Is the purple power residue on the floor bad for his health?
Going back to work for the first time in 3 1/2 weeks. Longest stretch of not working in over 25 years. Kinda nice, but be glad to getting back into the grind.
You and I are the same Clinton. I was just out of work for a month after surgery. Longest stretch in my work career.
I'm back at work now, 20lb restriction for next 2 weeks. Get here and absolutely no work. Won't get my next part until late today or tomorrow morning. Making the day drag by, can't do anything anyway but makes it that much worse. At least I'm getting paid though. Scariest part is seeing part inventory, haven't seen it this low in nearly 8-9 years.
What is going on with treated lumber? I talked with a friend of mine who told me he has waited over a month to get some deck boards. He lives in a larger city, the one I happily moved away from. He said Menards went through 8oo 1x6x8' deck boards as soon as they received them. Contractors grabbing them up. I've been working on building my deer condo and needed some treated lumber so I shopped on line at the Home Depot near me and got some prices. Five days later I called them to make sure they had what I needed. They did but in five days the price went up a buck per board (2x6x8') and 2 bucks per sheet of 3/4x4x8 plywood. Just what is the reason for this shortage/ hoarding?
Friend owns his own small construction gig. He had to drive from Springfield to Indianapolis a few weeks ago to get lumber for 3 different jobs and trailer it back on 4 trailers. Said everyone is building decks either off the home or on their pools. He has posted a finished deck every 3 or 4 days for quite a while. He had said it was due to demand from homeowners and I guess a few lumber manufacturers also shut down due to covid dropping supply. Have seen a lot of complaints on all treated lumber, mainly 5/4 decking and 4x4 posts.
