USPS delays and their tracking bs. Priority is 1-3 days and my delivery is now on day five and the tracker says it's delayed but in transit and should arrive 8/18. That's yesterday. I got drug tested yesterday. All part of the game but it got me thinking. I'm a grown man peeing in a cup. A gloved nurse tells me to wipe the tip of my penis with something. Then I pee in a cup. Come back out and seal the urine in two different vials. Sign the seals. Sign the legal paperwork which will then deliver my piss to a drug tester. Then all that ppwk gets rerouted to my employer. And that is just a small piece of the government, and general bureaucratic process in this world. Just think of that...I'm pissing in a cup and signing vials of piss. We aren't supposed to be living this way. Categorizing everything. Monetizing everything. Bureacratizing everything until every part of you is defined and measured.
Remember when the idea of a piss test to receive welfare benefits was so offensive? You are pissing so that you can continue to work.
When I held my FAA certs for repair station inspection I got pulled to pee ALL THE DANG TIME. Like get hit one day then again a couple days later as if trying to catch you up or something. Yet they claimed it was a randomly generated test. uhhhh sure Such fun... do not miss
Same. When I worked at the bomb plant, often tested and on one occasion twice in the same week. Now, I usually have a pee test for Pharma clients, but most banking clients don't require one
