Warranty, what is that. I haven't owned anything new enough to have a warranty since around 2000 when I had to for my job. 4 vehicles now, Altima 290,000 miles, Taurus 200,000 miles, Envoy 180,000, Jeep Liberty 190,000

My last truck, a 5.3L silverado had a complete engine rebuild at 75,000 miles because of an oil consumption issue from GMs design.

Just traded it in at 122,000 miles on Monday for an Ecoboost f150, and it is throwing a throttle body stuck closed code and a hill descent control fault. The truck is stuck in limp mode. Will only idle, nothing happens when I push the gas pedal.

First full size Ford truck I have ever owned. Like everything about it other than the obvious getting stuck on the side of the road and it having to get towed... Especially when I had plans to go out of town this weekend.

That is an odd issue... Why did your dealer not put you in an F150 rental immediately?

I like mine...switched from chevy 2 trucks ago. Don't think I could go with the eco boost though due to that auto engine shutoff thing to save gas. My son in law has one and it drove me nuts when I rode in it.

It was Beast Ice for me. I would drink a six pack of Bud Ice before hand. You couldn't tell the difference after that

They said they did not have any loaners available, that they were all out on loan. Went back and picked up my old truck to use until this one is fixed.

I know you are old and you have difficulty changing your ways... but GM does not put out a truck as good as they used to... but Dodge Ram does! Their trucks are just as good ... no good ;)

I'm old enough to know better than to buy a new Ford.

If I buy a new truck, it will be a toyota. ;)
