Live from the basement: dug out the trail cams (didn't set date/time) - this was more like 10:30... 31 minutes later: sonofa....!!! he's an active sucker. I put some water down so he wouldn't die and he found that right away. That's what I'll bait the trap with tomorrow. pretty big cat. That's a 9x11 pan.
First of all....... How did the cat get in? Window well open? Front door left open? Second of all ....... What kind of dogs do you have? Mine would have reduced the basement to a pile of rubble trying to get that cat. They would also be showing me where it was in the basement. Lol Anyway, we were getting cats in the basement at the bar until I found the openings and sealed them up. We live trapped them with a can of tuna. Good luck.
These pansies dont understand the law. Yes the press has first amendment rights but you are given lawful order to move in literally what could be a life or death situation, you move. Just like every other citizen. Just because you are a journalist doesnt mean you have special rights when all hell is breaking loose. Look....now cnn wants to be a victim and make the cops look even worse. Great. Great job fire fanners.
Damn, that’s a bigass cat. You’re going to need the beaver/coyote size conibear trap for that beast. Let me know if you need a good recipe for Sesame Kitten or General Meows.
ugh, no I hate cats. My dogs hate them even more no idea...I was doing work down there last Wed/TH and had the windows open to clear the drywall dust; and I also had the back door open (right next to the stairwell) that day, and again on Tuesday. We were out of town TH-Monday night; the dogs were kenneled during that time so I have no freaking idea. We didn't hear it Monday night so I am assuming it got in the windows Tuesday. We aren't using the basement while it's in remodel mode. As far as my dogs- the big one is a 90# Giant Schnauzer and he and the little one (50# Goldendoodle) are stone cold small animal assassins. But not being sure what I was dealing with size wise and potential for disease; I didn't feel like siccing them on it and ending up with a vet bill north of $1000. I am keeping them out of the basement and going the honey vs. vinegar route. Seeing the size of it on the cams I am glad I didn't. Not worth a dog losing an eye. don't have any unfortunately. It wasn't out of kindness; I didn't want to have to find a dead cat in my crawlspace in a week. Off to Farm and Fleet to get a trap now...
You should take the money you saved by getting those HF jack stands and invest it in some wheelchair accessible deer stands - you’re going to need them sometime in the next few oil changes
That cat is already plotting his demise, thumbs or no thumbs. It’s a cat after all, kind of in their nature.
I personally think that those who burn down their own neighborhoods absolutely deserve to live there afterwards.
