So had a looky loo come down the drive way today, same truck as last week he knocked on the door and I was as cordial as I can be. He set up an appointment and asked me to promise not to say sold before he sees it on Tuesday. We decided we are going to cut off showings end of day Tuesday, highest bidder at close of business Tuesday gets it.

so this giant pile of crap that's dropped about 6" of rain in the past 18 hours is about to swing back around and do it all over again for another 36 hours. Sump pumps can barely keep up as it is.

All the rain this spring has my driveway looking like a exploded mine field. I have a quarter mile of craters.

My sister in laws newish boyfriend, complete and total dipchit. They wanted to build a fence around her garden using pallets. She asked me for some advice on how to do it so I picked up some t-posts and 2" deck screws to help them out. He calls me yesterday asking if I had some better nails bc these are not hammering in without splitting the boards. Yeah, he's a real peach.

People who can't or will not plan ahead. Or are to damn cheap to do it right.

Case in point. When my house was built, the plumber sweat the supply line to the outside shut off instead of using an adaptor.

Dude! What were you thinking?? They never go bad??

Whenever I work on a project in my house I curse the previous owner, it is like they put extra effort into doing a hack, half assed effort.

I feel your pain. 90% of the home repair I have learned to do in the last four years is a direct result of the previous owner's shoddy work. Next project on the list, scrapping the popcorn ceiling texture out of the master bath. Why? Because there is no ceiling vent, just a "heat lamp" bulb and it is starting to flake off. Who does not install a ceiling vent with a fan in the 21st century, especially when there is one in the hallway bathroom?
