Nope even more drastic, an island in the middle of the pond that used to be at least a foot higher than the water is now underwater, even the tall grass is not visible.

 

My pond is about 8 feet from my garden. It should be about 25. Glad we only went down 1.5 feet from the original grade to put our house in.

Pretty much.

 

About 20 of my college buddies and I get together once a year. We had to cancel the get together this year. Sucks.

 

We all canceled Easter. That sucks.

 

^might make turkey hunting extra difficult.

 

It’s kind of a flash flood stream/river where it’ll jump up real high after a big rain then it’ll go back down in a day or 2. Plus it’s in the back yard and my primary turkey property is across town. That’s not even that high, it was a good 8’ higher in 2018 when hurricane Matthew came through. One of the columns inside that mill actually has the dates along with the high water marks carved into it for all the big floods going back all to the 1800’s. The highest its ever been was during hurricane Fran when the water got about halfway up the roof.

 

Hopped over a baby gate ( dogs) and caught my pinkie toe and snapped the littlebastard pertnear off.

 

Damn! Been there done tnat more than once. Mine was a snap and 3 cutting the top off. Hurt
