I lost satellite communication with my receiver yesterday. I took apart all cables, plugs and wires then cleaned and re-installed everything. TV works again. According to the past few posts, I have not missed a thing.

Saw part of a rebroadcast NASCAR race from about 1984 or 85. WOW. Forgot how different the cars looked.

I want to thank the adults on this site. I want you to be proud of yourselves for the conduct you display everyday. Even in our rants.
I went to a site because it had a CV thread and I wanted to check what was happening on the ground in the state.
Now we all know these are hunting / social sites and yes mainly men but kids and woman as well. Especially since schools out. Well reading threads I get to a pic, a long time adult member posted, of medical people holding signs. I start reading the signs each person held . Then get to a totally naked frontal shot of a blk man this guy super imposed. I KNOW that wouldn't fly here and shouldn't. I don't believe anyone here would do that. So AGAIN thanks for being adults and understanding that a variety of people view what is a great site for actual information.

My dryer died Saturday so I know how you feel. Fortunately in my case it just needs a new drum belt and tension spring for the idler pulley.

Back when the pokeymon thing was big a few years ago I woke up to my driveway alarm around 2 am one morning. Looked outside and saw 3 people walking around with flashlights in my back yard so I grabbed the AR and went out to see what's going on. Turns out they were just some high school or maybe college age kids trying to catch a damn imaginary pokeymon that was supposedly in my yard. I think it is safe to say that staring down the business end of a rifle was a quick way to learn a valuable lesson about the risks of trespassing in a strangers yard in the middle of the night.

Yep, parts supposed to arrive Thursday. Went ahead and got new felt drum gasket and guides since I was going to have it opened up anyway. They did want an arm and a leg for the tension spring thing. Cheapest one I could find was $125. It isn't really a spring, more like a torsion bar, but essentially just 2 foot long piece of 1/4" spring steel rod bent into a z shape that puts tension on the idler pulley, pretty crazy they want to charge that much for what it is.

Yea, washers are a lot more complex than dryers too and a lot of the common things that break are usually so costly and such a pain in the rear to fix that it is just cheaper to buy a new one. Dryer's are really simple and only have a couple things that ever break, all of which are pretty cheap and easy to diagnose and repair for somebody with a little bit of mechanical ability and understanding of very simple electrical circuits (and if its a gas dryer, a basic understanding of gas controls, flame sensors, and safeties).

We did a strip of old dryer to fix ours. Did buy the new felt gasket. Think the parts one was a school rehab dryer. Scrap metal that happened to be same model as ours. Amazing how few parts were in the gas dryer for the prices. Glad we have an old model...wouldn't want for fix new digital ones.

You could use the motor and control knob to make one heck of a fast side-by-side....
