That's kinda why I been looking at something like that. Guys I go to range with do alot of longer range type stuff and I always kinda wanted a gun that would shoot long range. I've looked at building vs buying and it's kind of a wash really. I've been shooting alot more here past few years and it's just kinda fun and good challenge really to try longer range stuff. We can't hunt with rifles, except coyotes mostly, so it'd be mostly a range gun. Hardest part i find is what caliber, don't really want something beating the hell out of shoulder all day. Yeah well, I shot my recurve on sunday and could have fit my groupings into a football but it was superbowl sunday, so.. at least I had that going for me.
Haha I've actually been leaning towards 308. Seams like ammo is pretty easy to find and fairly cheap bulk. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Nothing better than a 308. You can find any and everything easy and for good prices. I still have yet to understand the 6.5 creedmore fascination.
Yea I don't either. That's what eveyone around here is starting to go with. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Had to go to town to get gas and pick up a few groceries. I always take my dogs with me for trips such as this. I had a couple 12 packs of soda and a few plastic bags of groceries on the floor of the back seat. Supercrew F150. On the way home I was approaching a guy that was walking along the side of the highway. My big dog, MF Jones, sees the guy and gets ready to bark his fool head off and scare the guy. Jones has had this habit forever and no amount of yelling or poking will stop him. On his way to the window where the guy was walking he steps off the seat and stomps on one of the 12 packs of soda. One of his toe nails pierces the 12 pack and punctures a can of soda. I didn't realize it was spraying all over the back of my truck until I got home. When getting the groceries out I noticed all this red liquid on all the grocery bags. Code Red Mountain Dew. I knew right away what had happened. What a mess.
