Yup. But since China doesn't tell the full truth, and when nearby neighboring countries close Port of entry/quarentine, you want to pay some attention.

In that case Chicago, Detroit, NYC, LA and most of Mexico should all be good places to ride out the virus. Another option would be to befriend the Clintons.

Insurance companies. Wife went to the dentist she is double covered in Medical, vision and turns out not dental. So I call the dental insurer and they say I do not have a family plan. Yeah but my daughter got her wisdom teeth pulled before her cut off from my dental and they paid, my son was to the dentist and insurance paid. I get in broken english back that is dependent coverage not family, so they have a policy that covers everybody in the family except my wife evidently. The agent that sold us the plan who speaks perfectly understandable minnesotan is going to have to explain this bullshit to me.

People who do not follow a directions. Twice in the last week, I have had the same person drop by my office expecting me to drop everything that I am working on meet with them. No, that is not how it works. Per our three emails and two in-person conversations, you need to complete the paperwork I have sent to you twice, return it to me, and then I will look into scheduling a time to meet with you. If you do not do the requested pre-work, meeting with you is a waste of my time.

Too many people in this world think that money is the most important commodity. It is not, time is the most important commodity. More money can always be made, once spent, time never comes back and more can never be acquired. Do not waste my time.

Or someone calls you and leaves a message "call me back. I want to discuss something with you." And when you return the call, "hey, I need sales info or yada yada"-something that requires a little time to research.

Just tell me the issue, I will gather the info and get it to you. Invariably, it takes longer to talk with them on the phone or better yet, walk to their office because they don't want to discuss on the phone.

My primary and backup responsibilities cover 85% of the plant business. My boss knows that I am in the retirement window and my patience for that crap is running low. He doesn't want me pulling the plug just because some people are idiots. I have been empowered to just ignore those requests and I have to great delight. My cube space co-works and I have even heard shouting matches coming from the bosses office over these types of issues.

It's great when you have a boss that values the time aspect of a job as you (me) do.

Get to the airport, the ramp at terminal 1 was full so I parked at terminal 2 took the light rail to the other rail to terminal 1 only to find out my flight has been canceled and I am rebooked on a 6:15 flight. Fudge.

I'm SURE fudge is the word you used. I don't travel all that much but I can say, sitting for more than 90 minutes would drive me up a wall.

I had training in Detroit a few years ago and the company was/is too cheap for a nonstop from Green Bay. (This was during that time when all the flights were getting delayed due to a fire at some air traffic control place outside Chicago.) Had to lay over at O'hare. Training was done early so I headed to the airport in the hope of getting on an earlier flight out (slim as that hope was). Lady at check-in counter says you are in luck, there is a seat open for the 5:30 flight. (mine was for 7:15) 5:30 comes and goes without boarding the flight. Finally board at 6:15, sit on tarmac another 25 and we are off.

Get to O'Hare and check on my connection flight to GB. Delayed until 9:30 and the flight is in another concourse. Ok. Sit in the bar in that concourse, have a snack and a couple beers-will be good to go. Almost done with the snack and beer when I hear, last call for flight xxx to Green Bay! WTF!! Board the plane and we sit on the tarmac 30 minutes and then return to gate. Missed the takeoff window. Deboard and wait another 30 minutes to board again.

I got to GB at 11:45 PM. My original 7:15 flight to GB never left Detroit.

Too many travel war stories, as I've been a 'road warrior' for about 15 yrs. Travel sucks. American and United are at the top of my **** list.
