35 here. It really is exhausting and I waste the equivalent of a business day a week in planes, trains and ubers. The primary benefit is usually I end up with a nice very low cost vacation...
Vacation? I went to Kawai I landed in the dark, drove to the site in the dark, drove back to the hotel in the dark. Last week I had a wednesday return flight 12:45 I was up and awake at 4:30 wasted a day before I even got to the airport.
Gulf Stream off NC. I don’t always use them for their true purpose though, a lot of times I’ll put planers on them and set them up as kind of a short outrigger that lets me run a second set of lines off the side of the boat but closer than the outriggers without having to deal with double rigging on the outriggers. They’re also handy for pulling a dredge.
I know exactly where you’re coming from. I just got over the same exact thing and to add insult to injury, it ruined the last month of deer season for me. I got the flu around thanksgiving then spent the next 2 weeks going through hell. Finally started feeling better the week before Christmas. The sunday before Christmas I was walking to the stand for the first time in several weeks and I got that I think I’m about to get sick feeling. Spent the next week down with a cold. Finally got over that with like a week left in the season but still had a nasty lingering cough. Tried bowhunting one afternoon but couldn’t keep from coughing every 2 minutes so I didn’t see a single deer. Had to resign to finishing out my tags by sitting on field edges with the 300 win-mag dropping does at 300 yds. Not my kind of hunting but when you’re hacking up a lung every minute or 2 even the squirrels stay away so it was the only way I was gonna finish filling the freezer under the circumstances. Hopefully you’ll get over it soon. I found that a combination of robotussin, mucinex, and pseudoephedrine worked best, particularly the pseudo. I tried one of the other decongestants at first because I felt like **** and didn’t feel like waiting in line at the pharmacy counter to get it (damn methheads gotta ruin everything). I eventually went back and waited in that line for the good stuff and it’s definitely worth it. Within a day or 2 of starting the Sudafed the cough started to subside and I’m pretty sure I’d still be coughing if I hadn’t gotten it.
Thanks, Hope your feeling better and nothing else hits.. This stuff is CRAZY everyone has had it and for weeks and weeks. I feel like putting on a hazmat suite to go grocery shopping.
Wife has decided sailing the Great Loop is not modern enough after I had the keel, mainsail, fore sail, jib sail and all ropes replaced on the boat. Now we are shopping for a trawler, have you seen the price on a trawler!? On the plus side, it will be better equipped to handle locks and such. My biggest complaint, speaking like a pirate when captaining a trawler just seems contrived whereas it just comes naturally sailing. Yar.
DHL. No wonder these guys are folding. I get my tracking number and it was generated in Grand Prairie, Texas last friday. I check it just now, the package is in North Carolina and due here Friday. Wtf!? Maybe I just fail at understanding how shipping works but for a pallet delivery you would think a straight shot 3 hours north would make more sense than a leisurely jaunt around the country.
All shipping is screwed up anymore. Last package I got went from Columbus, OH>KC, Mo>St. Louis>Springfield, il>my house. Chances are it passed within 10 miles or my house twice. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
The scary part is that pipe appears to be connected to a steam/hydronic radiator. I’d hate to be standing nearby when it bursts and starts spraying scalding hot water/steam out in every direction.
I’m sure he was pretty proud of himself for doing such neat work Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Why would your wife want to travel in the one other style of saltwater boat that is slower and more boring than a sailboat. Plus trawlers are ugly boats.
She saw one in Galveston a couple weeks back and the interior was all decked out and plush. I've decided if we are going to purchase a trawler then it's going to be a trawler catamaran. It's not like I'm looking for a speedboat. The most we will do in a day is 40 miles and I encourage you to look at The Great Loop route up the eastern seaboard, it's not like we need a true out in the middle of the ocean boat, so.. I'm honestly more worried about the locks and navigating the Mississippi with a keel. Power boat with a shallow hull makes more sense or I've been told by my better 3/4's that's never sailed other than some huge ass cruise ship.
