You can - if you have an extremely liberal city near you, preferably one with a college. Basically if over 50% of all restaurants have a vegan menu you’re in the right place. You’re best customers are going to be environmentalists and hipsters, especially those that are college students who don’t live in the dorms or recent graduates who get a monthly stipend of mom and dads money to spend. If you can find an area where you see lots of people with skinny jeans, beards, and backpacks then that’s where you should post your organic firewood ads/flyers. Somewhere close to a Starbucks is also a safe bet.

If you are able to use a maul and split it by hand then you should definitely do that and make sure to mention on the flyer something along the lines of “split by hand to reduce carbon emissions” - they’ll eat of that **** up. Sustainably harvested is another good buzz phrase. Also make sure to remind them that firewood is a carbon neutral fuel source. Depending on the customer you also may want to mention that it comes from free range trees. That is a risky one because it can be the thing that really closes the deal but it does have the potential to backfire and cause them to think through the concept of organic firewood and then realize that all firewood is organic. I would usually only drop that one if I needed to close the deal with somebody who was on the fence and didn’t seem to have a lot of common sense or somebody who had really, really bought into the whole environmentalist mentality hook line and sinker.

You can also scout prospective sales areas looking for sign. Look for these clues :
    Farmers market
    Bike paths
    High concentration of Priuses
Cars with 2 or more bumper stickers

Thankfully that pic is note from anywhere near me. We got about 3" and then some very strong winds..... which sucked. I'm about to go get my plow truck and clean up the drifts.

I'm not sure about that last one. If it is slippery out, I prefer to be in 4wd.

WT-! I'm sorry but a class 6 felony for improper land leasing????!!!!
Here in NYS one of the worst in the nation, a guy can rob a bank 6 times and walk out the police station door the same day each time. You guys get slapped with felony charges for leasing to long or for too much?!! OMG

I have a neighbor just like that, but he leases to rogue trespassing hunters and tells me if I don't like it sell my land to him. Can't repeat my response, other than how about you sell to me! I'm in the process of " Taking care of business" concerning his little crew.

Heres my rant. I'm sick of being sick!!! WTH. It hit out of no where Christmas eve I ripped my throat and lungs up coughing, near drowned in mucous...started feeling better then every muscle in my body ached and raw throat had me still coughing and exhausted. Then Sat. I wake up with intestinal hurricane and raging head ache. Now still a bit queasy but rest of me feels great. Why the hell do I bother with these shots every year?!!!

Anti-rant - passed by an estate sale Saturday and decided to stop in and look around. Left with 6 brand new still in the box Penn International 130 reels and a pair of Cannon tournament series downriggers for $1,100. Now I just need 6 new rods and a few miles of fishing line. I am officially pumped for summer.

Back to the grind looking at the calendar. I picked up a paper calendar and wrote in my known schedule. Even without the pop up trips that happen I will be going to the airport 32 times in 2020.
