Todays rant, getting old sucks. I have lived at my place 23 years I heat with wood so I have to put up about 9 cords of wood every fall. This is the first year that I am not hand splitting. I go out and cut a couple pick up loads of wood split the wood and wheelbarrow it under the lean to. Feel like somebody beat me with a baseball bat every morning when I get up. I used to love running a chainsaw now I hate it.
Not sure this is a rant so much as repeating something I read on another website but it sums things up pretty well for me. I am far more troubled by Hilliary Clinton's actions than I am by things Donald Trump has said.
Let me parody his opening words. To anyone offended...tough. There is no god named allah and his prophet mohammad was a butthurt narcissist who liked to rape and plunder. Moreover, one has to be a twit to believe and serve a sky god that requires what this fake god requires. Furthermore, Mr. Bowtie Man...who said "our young black men are being gunned down and there is no redress..." Hey *******...it's reeeeeeeeeeeally simple, Mr. Simpleton. When a cop says drop the gun, you drop the gun, or you eat lead. I'm sorry you are a mental defective. Perhaps the best part of you wound up as a stain on the mattress? Clear your head gear, bowtie billy bob. You are full of stinking thinking. I can't listen to anymore or I'm gonna stroke the **** out.
He basically threatened more violence. Hey, you know what? Morris Dees bankrupted the KKK in litigation for inspiring murder. Somehow I bet the SPLC won't do anything about Mr. Bowtie Man.
My hunting "Buddy" has been hunting with his family for over 20 years on state land in northern MI and in the U.P. and they have never got anything over a small 8 point. Last year I got my neighbor to our North to lease his property to them (100 acres) for only $800 between three guys...they ended up seeing plenty of bucks over 130" but none of them could connect..now this year they are deciding to return to state land to hunt because they think it's better and they have more luck.....apparently the 80" bucks are more fun to hunt than the 130"+ class..oh well more for me
Another rant about getting old, picked up my good friend Wednesday night at MSP he flew back from LA we headed up to deer camp because we and the rest of the guys were building a new deer shack. We are done with the doublewide and on to a grand structure. Building walls, hanging trusses, sheeting a roof is damn hard work, it makes you sore and tired. Had to laugh my friend and I met in college and we may have raised some hell back in the day but we are 50 now, instead of working hard all day and drinking all night we now get done eat supper have a few beers and fall asleep by 9:30 and curse having to get up and pee at 3 am.
Why do people on freeway entrance ramps not accelerate to within 30 miles/hour of the speed limit? Why do I always get behind the idiot that is still only doing 30 at the end of the ramp?
I have a rant about something that has not happened yet. Headed to Orlando tomorrow for a conference headed back Friday. I am going to be in a hotel filled with people that can not get to the theme parks because of the tropical storm. Bunch or brat kids and pissed off parents.
Yeah landed in Orlando yesterday turned my phone on when I landed the conference is cancelled and no way in hell Delta has an open seat to get out of Orlando, driving back to Minneapolis.
No way! Just in the time of the flight they just cancelled everything? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I left the hotel in Orlando at 7:30 after having biscuits and gravy. Returned the rental car at the airport in Minneapolis at 6:30 this morning, exactly 24 hours. Couple of things Atlanta seriously 4 hours to get thru to get back up to 77mph that sucked. I drove a Nissan Zuke 1500 miles it has a 12 gallon fuel tank I had to stop 5 times for gas. I made it on 1 medium sugar free redbull 1 20 ounce diet pepsi. That crap is poison so I went with 3 medium coffees from St Louis on, that and a half tin of skoal. roughly 1500 miles from Orlando to MSP it was an experience but trouble free motoring.
We've started going all the way down I65 to Montgomery then shooting over to 10 to avoid ATL all together adds around an hour to our trip but it's well worth not even having to see ATL. A lot less traffic all together and no mountains.
Now that's hauling!!! I told you to stop in North ga , if nothing more than a beer. Atlanta traffic sucks.
