I know the kid with the black rig pretty well. I had left the lake with my limit of walleyes and a 33" carp a few hours before this happened. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
Had to be fun to catch a 33" carp thru the ice. What did he bite on? If it was the same thing you caught the walleyes I can not imagine the excitement until you discovered it was a damn carp not a gigantic walleye.
Haha it was on my lightest rod I own with a wax worm. Was the most fun I've had catching a fish through the ice though. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
Nice work, how long did it take to get the beast in? I do not know anybody that has ever caught a carp thru the ice.
Probably should not complain the shop is warm the beer is cold and I am putting cleaner wax on the boat, prepping to replace the transducer.
What size hole did you have? That’s a fat fish! my buddy caught an 18# northern that had huge girth it wouldn’t come up an 8” hole so we had to angle drill 3 more holes to get it up the hole because the fish rolled and had the line behind the dorsal fin
Saved the trailers I think but trucks went all the way in. Pic won't load for some reason. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
Came over the scanner shots fired inside the mall here, possibly at security. Still inside last seen exiting elevator on top floor.
Hmm. Have seen MANY 20+ Pike come up an 8" hole no problem. What made the 18# have so much " girth" ?
I’m sure it’s not cheap , especially if it sinks to the bottom Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
i don’t remember (20 yrs ago) but the line was wrapped around the fish 3 or4 times behind the dorsal fin and we had probably 2’ of ice we stuck our arms down the hole to straighten it out but no luck so we opted for for holes
