The only thing more pleasant than fresh cut alfalfa is freshly bailed alfalfa when it's all in the barn!
I worked from home today, evidently a **** show crisis developed and they need a solution, hate to say it, hate to say it, probably me. I love going to take care of issues that are evident but a consultant and an engineer can not grasp. I will go in they will be all tense, I will take some readings and do an inspection and point out the fault. I will explain it in a way that they will enjoy hearing how dumb they were to not see the evident installation failure, best part is the issue is not warranty and now you paid for my bonus miles option on my ticket.
I am glad this day is over. It started with receiving a rude email from a part-time employee demanding that I change her job duties to fit her schedule. The email was sent at 2 am and was the first thing to greet me in the office this morning. Fortunately, I was able to ask the right questions so that she voluntarily quit instead of me firing her and I have it documented in emails. This is on the first of the month which always the busiest day of the month in August, which the busiest month of the year for me at work. So I spent half my day putting out that dumpster fire. Fortunately, she didn’t have any shifts scheduled next week, so I have a few days to try and get it covered. This is on top of an employee who injured herself late yesterday. So I was also beginning the work comp process for her. Then I come home to a door knob needing to be replaced on my kid’s bedroom door and a clogged garbage disposal. All of this while fighting the tailend of a cold our toddler gave me this past weekend. Oh, and the 8 year old is running a fever. Got those resolved just in time to get in a few shots in at 30 yards before it was time to gelp put the kids to bed. Not my best shooting but all shots were in the lungs. Its a good thing I am not much of a drinker. I wouldn’t make it in for work tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’m afraid of where our society is heading. The letters in CNN are white. That shade of white is racist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Having a crisis of conscience here. 15 days ago I uncovered the fact that starting in December a natural gas storage company in northern Illinois was discharging benzene contaminated water into a subsurface leach field. I notified my department and IEPA at that time. So far, nothing has been done. This went on for 3 months with levels 150 times the action levels. I feel like people need to know. If you live anywhere around Troy Grove, beware.
here, if your car is more than 3 (or is it 5?) years old they make you take it in annually for a smog test and they also jack in to the OBC and check for codes. If your car throws certain codes they make you get it fixed and come back. It only takes 5 minutes to have checked but they closed a lot of centers so most people have to drive a fair distance to find one. Of course they are only open during normal business hours* so the average joe has to decide if they want to be late for work or leave work early to get it done. Especially since it takes 30-60 minutes to drive 15 miles around here during peak driving times. Pretty soon they will be making everyone use it annually to check your mileage and tax you on that. As foreshadowed 30 years ago by Ferris Bueller... *EDIT- I guess some are open Saturday mornings.
When and who makes this happen. Just curious cause I've never had to have anything inspected Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Common in other states as well. I think it is becoming popular in major metropolitan areas. I had to deal with it when I lived in DFW, but not since moving to Little Rock.
Varies by state and sometimes others (city or county). In NC older vehicles are exempted, but for newer we need the inspections for our registration/property tax...
we get a notice in the mail from the SoS. Can't renew registration w/o it. not just Crook- Dupage and Will also for sure; I think Kane and Lake (IL) also. Even Lake County IN (although that's separate from the IL requirements. They did that to themselves.)
People who are not punctual. I'm about to whoop an adjuster. 9am means 9am not 9.07am and actually it means 8.45am ya lazy sack of chit.
