Didn't realize this either. Thats gonna be nice when 6 trailers for work come up for new stickers. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
A motorcycle group must have gotten to Madigan as their plate fees remain at $38. Last I knew they used the same roadways as I do, I see them on the roads every month of the year.
Only annual licenses I know of that are available for lifetime renewal are hunting and fishing licenses. Current license price x 30. I'm actually thinking of doing this next renewal as I am sure they will be going up soon. Even if I move out of IL, should I return it will still be valid whether I move back or visit as a non-resident.
Sad part is, it is probably a $120 fine. Or soon will be as a reason to justify the price. "It's still cheaper than a ticket". I'll toss the boat in the bed of my truck. Only a 1436 jon.
Thanks citizens. Thanks for purchasing trailers and other items to haul. Thanks for supporting the economy by those purchases. And lastly, pay those unjustified fees to continue your support. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Almost certain they also doubled drivers license renewals from $30 to $60. And to add in a nice touch, the House also put in a last minute pay raise for themselves, passed it, sent it to the Senate and Adjourned until October. Madigan refused to stay in town at the senates request to remove the pay increase and pass it again, a ploy that I am sure was worked out ahead to look like it was a surprise.
I'll be a Hoosier again come spring, but if I weren't I'd sell my boat trailer for a dollar to my cousin in MI and then rent it back for the cost of insurance per year. Lifetime plates up there. Suck it, JB and Madigan.
too lazy to look but up but are you sure it's still good if you move out of state? MI had them years ago; my old man bought one and then moved to IN and they wouldn't honor it with his IN DL.
Oh I'm not saying it's right to do, but just for instance between work trailers and for farm, work owns 9 trailers, that I can remember. That's about $1100 in tags for the most part on trailers that do alot of sitting. And to be honest theres alot more wrong with a majority of them then a valid sticker. So it's kinda more like, what's one more ticket. Between weight, lights, or how loads are strapped down when we get pulled over the cop has a good day ha. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Positive, unless they change something in the future which they would have to grandfather them in regardless. That was my first concern and what I looked at first.
