Yes, it is good for 8 years. Last one was good for four years but only cost $10.

    No term limits

If anything, the current presidential term is an exact reason why term limits should not apply to only the president. A president can only do so much, it is congress that rules the roost, so to speak.

Made it through the storms last night. Had one tornado pass right over the house and set down a couple blocks away before roping out. Stick a fork in me, I'm done. Ran out to the the farm this morning, the pond that's barely had any water in it for well over six years is flowing over the dam. So I have that going for me.. Glad you have came through this very active period relatively unscathed. Wednesday will mark the end to it, crazy thinking back on it. On a weather forum I frequent I started a thread for on the 12th and it is still going.

Bless our troops, both current and lost. I give a lot of thanks this weekend and not many rants.

Right there with ya. Little embarrassed to say but I'm the only one on my block that has flown the flag this weekend, makes me want to take a trip to the store and buy them all one.. Anyway, I've always been told that I bear a strong resemblance to my Great Uncle, he made the ultimate sacrifice on Iwo Jima, Febuary 19th 1945. I always grill Tbones in his honor since one of the few things I know about him was that he loved a good Tbone, well that and he was the 4th Marines Division Golden Gloves boxing Champion.

I do have to rant, as it shows what is wrong with this country.

Having to spend Memorial Day monitoting my state politicians as they use this day as a cloak to try and railroad unconstitutional bullchit through. Progressive tax? Exhorbitant fees and fingerprinting to excercise a constitutional right? Ram it through when you think no one is paying attention. I'm sure they are getting a healthy payday for working on a holiday as well. Chicago makes me sick!

But God forbid if the state actually makes you produce a photo ID to vote. Then that is racist.

There was a story in the Minneapolis Star Tribune about the passing of Bart Star, in the comments section people were people saying how classless Packer fans are, oh the irony. Stay classy viking fans.

Exactly, but for a firearm they want $20 every 5 years, $30 fingerprints every 5 years, from certain fingerprint vendors who were proponents of the bill, you have to physically go to a State Police headquarters to apply and renew.

Imagine the travel costs for the low income residents in the worst neighborhoods in Chicago and the time it will take to apply in person. They are turning ISP headquarter into a firearm DMV, which is nothing but registration and taxing.

    But......

Here illegally, no problem we'll get you a drivers license or state ID

Feel kinda bad complaining because we have not had floods or tornados but the spring of 2019 sucks, so many rained out days so few sunny warm days. Last night stunning 75 degree evening for boating, today cold rain you can see your breath had to light a fire in the shop.

The ability to change the IL constitution to allow getting rid of the flat tax and implementing a progressive tax will be on the 2020 ballot.

Term limits? Nope. Redistricting? Nope. Even though both had the signatures acquired to be placed on the ballots several years ago. They were blocked in the courts by King Madigan. What Madigan wants, Madigan gets. Period!
