We are used to it. If I had to do it all over again.. I would have gone into business with an old friend that started a tornado shelter business back in 2001. It's almost a code requirement to have one in new builds these days. We have been lucky and not had a F5 since 2013 so we are kinda expecting one this year.

and @Sota Dinner at Old Bryan Inn was always a treat if you're headed up rt 9 or want a brief detour from the Northway.

In the great state if Indiana for a basketball tourney. This guy was at a busy intersection not moving. About 10 cars went buy, it was near my hotel so I dropped my son off any ran back. I tried like hell to wake him up, he did not move. Notice the car in drive and it's running, his foot is on the break. My worry was his foot slips and then we have an accident. I called 911 and was promptly put on hold, lol. After a conversion with the operator I was put through EMTS services. I was asked where I was, I stated I am from Michigan I have no idea. I am near my Hotel and I have the name. Luckily I looked up and say the cross streets and they arrived quickly. Only snag was he moved and foot came off the break and he started into the intersection as the EMS arrived. I was hesitate when I first got there to open the door and get near him. Due to my suspicion(yes the liberal profiled) he was high or drunk. Well as the car moved I did dive in and try and stop the car, I got the key out just as we hit the EMS vehicle. He then woke up to see a little white dude in his lap. He did not pass the sobriety test and had some heroin in the car. Myself I have bruised ribs and a good story:)
    FYI police officer was outstanding.

Not a rant, but it’s too funny to not share

I caught my little brother going through some of my hunting gear today. As he was rummaging through the stuff I came up behind him and asked what he thought he was doing. He jumped up and had one of those butt out tools in his hand. He was like “uhh nothing”

So I asked him if he knew what he was holding, he didn’t. So I started going into explicit detail of how the butt-out tool was used. Now my brother is an extreme germaphobe, he won’t even touch a fish. So I can’t even begin to describe the look of horror he had on his face when he realized where that little plastic tool had been!

I ended that little story with “ that thing hasn’t even been cleaned since it was used last” and left the room. He ran downstairs to the kitchen and started scrubbing his hands like a madman! I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time

I thought you guys would get a kick out of that :)

    Good work Germ!

Daughter is down in NC for a tourney this weekend. Trying to conserve some cash for two long tourneys in July. Stayed home with the younger kids while my wife was already down there scouting. Good luck to your kids with the tourney.

You "thought" he was high or drunk? No crap sober people do not typically pass out with the car in gear at a stoplight.

My wife I love her but she gets on a mission and there is no stopping. She is hellbent on converting my daughters bedroom into a nursery for the grandchild. The child is due in November, she already has a crib on it's way and the daughters crap is still in the bedroom.

Crap happens. Our team went 1 and 2 last week. Dropped one player and only had one sub. Wore out..blew two games. They need to get in better physical shape.

This week they are off to a 2 and 0 start.

Your response actually reminded me that I needed to go to a branch a couple years ago to get cash to pay a guy to put a new transmission in my SUV. He gave me a cash discount...the dude is a little shady as a business man but is a good mechanic. I paid about half what a dealer would have charged.

I watched my dad do the same thing when I was a kid. Except, it was an elderly woman who had a heart attack and passed out behind the wheel.

At least it isn't a 20 minute layover at DFW with the connecting flight on the other end of the airport.

    New rant-

John Wick 3. I went expecting some entertaining mma/gun porn and popcorn. What I got was the geriatric version. Ol' Keanu is starting to show his age. His fight moves are very slow and choreographed. I've read the series is now his vanity project and he wants to keep doing them because they're fun (kind of like Depp and Pirates,) but he's clearly aged out of the role.
