I've worked in banking for a long time. The vast majority of the time I hear the term customer used versus client. People sometimes refer to a long time customer as a client.

My rant for the day- Fat Rude Americans, I keep asking myself is that person rude or stupid? That and people with a defective mirror. If you are 30 pounds overweight do not buy a small swimsuit either, and if you are a guy and not a competitive swimmer do not wear a plumb smuggler to the beach or pool.

I am a product application specialist. The people who hire me are they customers or clients?

If the product is over $500 you can call them clients. Unless it is appliances.

Then again if it is on the island I think you can call them what you want.

Unless you have fiduciary obligation to them they are customers.

Negative. The cost of a product has nothing to do with it.

For example, I have purchased our last 4 vehicles from the same car salesmen. The have ranged from 40-70K each. Despite the cost I am not his client in any sense of the word.
I have an insurance agent that I purchased several products from, they don't total anywhere near the cost of our last four vehicles, however I am his client and treated as such.

Well I should have known it was coming, but still stinks. They're closing the doctors office I work at. But the frustration is they cannot give us an exact date besides this summer. Also the fact they say they will "try" and put us into another location.

    Nothing like uncertainties.

You have too look out for yourself and your family, the doctors office certainly is. Start looking for a new job now, don't wait until they finally spring it on you that you don't have a job anymore.

Definately. I have been, even before it came official. We could make do without me working, but my pay is "extra" money - which makes it important I have something in line. Especially with the animals we keep acquiring!
