Well that just may be so. My saving grace is not being a clueless ass like many a liberal..feel free to move to a mirror.
This is a heart breaking rant humans nature to gravitate to animal companionship knowing they span a fraction of our life time. I had to make the call today. Dennis is one of 6 pups I helped birth thirteen years ago. We have his mother and we lost his brother to the day he gave up a year ago. He is in no visible pain , cold wet nose and drinking and eating but has lost his hind legs. We say good bye tomorrow morning. Today he has one more sunny day to enjoy the warmth of the sun. Thank you for the love
Bernie Sanders stating that he thinks the Boston Marathon bomber and other violent prisoners should be allowed to vote from prison. Seriously Bernie you want to take up that fight?? Why?? What a joke!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Thank you....with Angel being nearly 15 and the cat 15 we are in for a rough year or 2. She is half the size of her pups so in much better shape. The boys weighed in at 130 & 120 most of their lives as did their dad. The females were 85 to 100 pounds. No hip issues until the last couple of years George had a tumor on his spine. The vets called for his being put down then and there. It put my husband in shock. He went in thinking arthritis came home in tears. We wiil bury their ashes together
Deepest hole I ever dug was to bury my beloved white German Shepard Clyde, he was a rescue dog he was a huge jerk but he loved it on the ranch he would sit out and watch my little girl play outside, she was the safest kid in the world while he was watching over her. I had to have him put down because of his hips, I cried like a baby digging that hole and I knew when I was done digging he was gone. I have felt your pain many times but have also been blessed with many good dogs as well.
I'm not a bear hunter, but I was looking at our state bear harvest report for the year, and 12 people harvested bears that weighed under 30 pounds... Who in their right mind would shoot a bear cub? Maybe they mistook it for a squirrel or something...
Sorry to hear about your dog OND. The hardest times of my life have been putting my best pals down. Roadside garbage: today, I was hauling a small trailer full of cardboard boxes. Thought I had them strapped in an secure. Not!. I was on a fairly major hiway and could have kept going as no traffic in site but I turned around. There were 2 boxes about 60-80 yards apart in the ditch. From picking up the first and going to the second one, ( I didn't count) but I bet there were close to 50 beer, popcans, and bottles in the ditch. That's in less then 100 yards Did find a full bag of good zip ties tho
just got home from another 14 hour shift, somehow the dogs made it all that time without crapping all over the floor. Sat down, popped a top, and the Giant Schnauzer jumped up on the couch next to me and flopped his head on my thigh. He only does that when he really misses me* because he knows that any other time I'll shoo him down. I turned on the lappie to read this. And literally teared up. Sorry for you, OND. *miggggghhhhht have been the fried chicken drumsticks I have on a paperplate in front of me. But that's OK, too.

Terribly sorry, that’s never a easy time. However he make your ancestors happy, and be waiting for you tail wagging

Yes, agree. From the photo, it looks like dysplasia. I remember when my family had to put down a dog of same age. Couldn't walk anymore, barely ate, and very irritable in the end.
This probably wouldn't be as hard if he was like that. He's not though actually he was up and loping along the corn field the day before he went down. Granted for the last year it's been the hind legs together thing and walking was a knuckle drag when he got tired. In fact right now he is alert, took a favorite doggy treat and drinking. Though he has not moved at all from the spot we placed him last night. I've spent the last week nursing him along. Getting him up and moving but he got a real sadness in his eyes the other day. Something I've only seen one other time, when George didn't return home. He cried for 3 days. He'll see him again soon I hope. Thank you again guys . This is a reminder I think, that for all our differences , we all go through some of the same joys and difficulties in life.
Funny that man's best friend has no political beliefs, if we were all as good a friend as a dog the world would be a better place.
