FYI my kids don’t go to private school. I guess where we differ is my wife’s profession is part of my life. Why because I live with it. You see unlike your vast experience of knowing a teacher, I actually live with one. So we don’t just talk on holidays or family get together. When she comes home and talks how a parent threw paper in her face because they did not like the grade, I don’t just hear it, like you would from your aunt, I live with it. When she came home and got her pay cut by 10g, I did just not hear like you would, I live with it. It’s funny most here who live in the education system understand what I am saying, those who “know” a teacher like you have no clue. As I sit here right now my wife is to my left working. It’s not about liking or disliking, it’s about respect. So if you, dnoodles states some bs about our educators, I’ll be here to fire back, right or wrong I don’t care. I choose to stand with teacher, because I see what they are up against. I am sure cops have some of the same struggles, I don’t know because while I have had two uncles who were cops for 25+ years is not the experience one needs to understand what it means to be a cop, and the toll it takes on ones family. FYI I apologize for being a bit of an ass dnoodles, not for what I said. So to be clear if you felt I was an ass to you, I don’t apologize.
That's just it, I find it hilarious to get upset or feel the need to defend someone or something that's not directed at you. And that's all I've been saying the whole time. Like you standing for the ppl in my family since I'm not, go for it. Nobody said anything about them. Pretty sure you know there's ****ty schools and teachers out there. Like if a teacher is arrested for having sex with a student and I say what a piece of crap, that's not about your wife. Extreme example and I'm sure you'll laugh it off but it's no different than any other criticism. I really can't explain it any better than that. You don't need to live with a teacher to know these things, its 2019 regardless if you think its fake news or whatever the info is out there. Ya know the info you said to get off my ass and find. Same with cops, pretty sure everyone know they have a **** job most of time. Again another example I'm sure you'll laugh off, but whatever. I don't even think anyone even mentioned anything like teachers are paid enough or they should just suck it up if parents get ****ty and do their job. But maybe they did. I apparently missed the private school thing, so maybe did that too. Everyone knows those things happen. Its not a big secret. Hell it's been that way since I was in school, and sure when you there. As far as the apology, whatever man. We wouldn't know eachother if we ran into eachother on the street. What you think or say about me or any of my family doesn't matter one way or the other. Random ppl on the internet are the least of my concern. If it ever becomes one I'll find something else to do, anyone should. Which ties back into the first couple lines of this post. Now I'm sure you have something to pick apart in this post and honestly if its just the same back and fourth there's really no point. So might as well just disagree and move on. Nobody is changing anyones mind. But here I made something just for you mainly because I was bored, but also because I'm a ass and find it funny. that disclaimer was pretty funny and I accept Germ's apology. wasn't going to rant tonight but just got home from a 12 hour shift and went to load the coffee pot for tomorrow AM and I'm basically out of coffee (not enough for even a half pot) ...and I have to get up at 0630 to take the stupid dog to the groomers. I am not going to be my normal cheery self tomorrow to be sure.

People that compare a teacher's plight with an officer's. I'll break it down for you. One gets shots fired, the other watches out for running in the halls. One teaches our youth to respect authority and the other gets summers off. One helps keep civilization civil and the other preps kids for a state test so that numbers can be inflated and raises can be enjoyed for the entire union. Are teachers important...very Should they be praised....very much Are they paid enough....nope Should they ever be compared to a police officer.....NO.

Yes and read what I wrote before, struggles as in those who are not cops or living with cops don't understand what they go through. Reading about it on the internet or asking a uncle in my case is not going to give me the full picture of what being a cop is these days. The "same struggles" was not comparing job to job. Comparing how the a lot of the public do not understand what they go through on a day to day basis, not from a job stand point, but how some view what they do.

I can't comment on your Grandmother, when I don't have any real experience in a subject matter I keep my mouth shut, I don't even know anyone on a school board. except the closest store open later than midnight is farther away than any one of acceptable chain coffee shops that were open this AM. And I drove past 2 of those stores on my way home from work when they were still open. That's what peeved me more than anything else. By the time I realized I was out it was well after midnight and I was screwed unless I wanted to spend 30 minutes driving around at 1am getting coffee for 6am. 1st world problems, I know. But it's coffee. I get real 3rd world without coffee. Like medieval even.
I will admit if it was discovered that we were not going to have coffee in the morning I would be going the 15 miles to Cub to get coffee. I do have to say that coffee to my wife is like the national crude oil reserve we never go below a 1/2.
I don't see how coffee people do it. I mainly drink coffee during deer season and winter. I cannot drink more than a large size from most fast food places or a yeti cup when I make it at home. No way can I drink it all day long. A 2lb canister lasts through it's expiration date
My wife can have a cup of coffee while see watches the 9:00 news and go to bed and sleep at 10. I have one cup in the morning and not even a big cup.
