This is what I've been saying all along. Most people aren't against a border wall in certain strategic places. People (in the middle) are against the way its being sold to them. If Trump would have had a logical, calm, well thought out message this whole time I think this whole thing would have gone a lot better for him. Screaming at your rallies that you are going to be build a big beautiful cement and re-bar wall the entire length of the border is great for his base, but not for the actual people he has to convince. Declaring a national emergency then saying he didn't have to, then not talking about it again for a month didn't look so good either.

Time is a construct of humanity, therefore we can alter it at will. I wish they would make Daylight Savings Time permanent across the board, it is depressing as hell when it gets dark at 4 p.m. Nothing like getting up and going to work when it's dark and getting home after dark, never seeing the light of day.
Just like this past election, this country is in the battle for its soul, and people are willing to do anything to "win". For many people, the end is more important than the means. And that is seriously troubling because it creates so much distrust. Totally agree, it seriously messes with my time travel calculations and my flux capacitor. Living in Germany 2 1/2 years I got used to not having daylight savings time, it was great. As far as sunrise/sunset, I get it and it does suck. In Munich during the winter the sun would rise 9am and set at 3.30pm during the shortest days of the year. Which didn't really matter to me bc I worked from 8am till 11pm most days but I completely understood when the weather warmed up enough for them to go to the park during their lunch break, strip and lay out naked until they had to go back to work.
That's way it was in France. I got there in June and it stayed light out till 10 to 11pm. First couple days there that screwed me up bad. Had to go in for training at 6 am one day and around 2 or 3 I was out of it, they sent me home to come back next morning. Tried everything to sray awake but ended yo passing out and then woke up at like 9 pm. Thinking I was way late and in some trouble i was running around like a idiot trying to get a ride into work until tye guy showing me around was like what's up. Told him and he started laughing and was like dude you were already there today. After goin back and fourth he was like hey man its 10 pm not am you're good. Was only time really had any kind of jet lag and felt like a idiot for next 2 weeks. Whenever we had a certain time to be somewhere I had to repeat it like 5 times if it was am or pm and everybody just laughed. Good times haha Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
So is AG Barr, who was praised by nearly every national-level Republican as a 'letter of the law Constitutionalist' only a month ago; also a lemming? The Emergency Powers Act clearly provides authority for Trump's declaration. If Congress wants its power back, then they should repeal the Act. Stop hiding behind the Constitution; which is a canard. Congress gave the Executive these powers 30 some years ago. Congress don't have the standing to whine about said power being exercised when they gave it to the President in the first place. However, there is a legislative mechanism against executive overreach. If Republicans are really so concerned about future Democrat presidents enacting freedom crushing "emergencies" in the future; all they have to do is pass a repeal; then override the inevitable veto. In fact, I think that is exactly what the Senate should do. Put repealing the Emergency Powers Act up to a vote- if Dems vote against it it would show the nation that they are full of crap. Most telling to me is that Pelosi already shot down voting on just such a bill in the House; and Schumer turned down the same proposal from McConnell. Not one single person (save MAYBE Rand Paul) who voted against the President's declaration gives 2 craps about the power. They just hate the President.

Went out for dinner and then to menards to get a new shower head faucet for the shower. Found what I needed a kit and got home. The A-holes that built this POS house never heard of a union evidently. They screwed into the 3 way valve and sweat it in. so giddy it is going to be a shat show. Going to lead to a complete redo of the bathroom
