A few days back talk about EVs. Shocking report that their charge is reduced in cold climates... this may reduce adoption/sales in the polar vortex zones that some of yall inhabit... Most of us probably have seen phone battery life much shorter in cold weather. AAA confirms what electric car owners suspected — cold weather saps EV range - https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/06/aaa...ssan-ev-owners-suspected-of-cold-weather.html
So I have to go to Orlando this afternoon to go take care of an issue, I get to drive to the airport in a crapshow. Flight is at 1:30 leaving home at 10:00 to get there. Will be onsite to get to deal with a very pissed off individual that does not realize that the company that supplied the part did not make the part but I am there to correct the problem.
Days like today I wish I had one. My dad is gone and I need to get out to the farm to do cattle chores in the middle of the blizzard here this afternoon.
Mines a 96 Polaris. Runs great but being inexperienced with them, found out you can get stuck in deep snow. Got about 6" here so far this round and maybe 4 more coming along with big winds. Oh Joy! Gonna haffta brave the elements sometime today. I'm fresh outta beer
the next time some uniformed idiot ("idiot" is not directed at you, Germ- I know you're pro-wall) says we can reliably secure/patrol 1000s of miles of the southwest border with sensors, cameras, and drones and that a wall would be relying on medieval technology; ask them this- if sensors and cameras are "good enough" security; why don't you leave your front door unlocked and rely 100% on their "nest" or "ring" or whatever for security. Locked doors are barriers, and they work. Walls are also barriers. It would stand to reason that they also work as at least a deterrence.
And the next time somebody tells you that a wall will stop you tell them this. Even a physical barrier is going to need technology to help. Personally, I think if you want something to halt peoples from coming over the border, plant multiflora, nothing gets through that stuff. Its environmentally friendly, low cost to maintain and would appease both sides of the aisle. And, I am for a wall but absolutely against giving DJT a dime to do it given his very public track record of construction projects, speaking of illegal immigrants taking American jobs..
This weather sucks. It’s raining and it’s 29° out. On top of it the house we rent doenst have gutters so the rain is dropping down to the front steps and freezing. So letting the dogs out is a real b!tch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I feel for you. Gutters and a covered porch are awesome for us pet owners. You won't regret getting either!
We have a covered porch area but the first step down to get to the walkway or yard is not covered so it’s just a big sheet of ice. Glad I have my ice creepers from ice fishing. I’m trying to break some of it up so I dont have a dog getting injured. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve used a ton already. It like throwing money down the drain right now. It just gets washed away from the rain. So no more until it stops. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Used truck prices. Actually truck prices in general but the used ones are insane. Sure, you drive it 250,000 miles and then expect me to pay $15000 for it so it can fall apart and I won't be able to sell it for $3000. Even the flooded or wrecked trucks are going for over $10000.
For the love of God, NO! It would definitely slow them down, but I'm tired of messing with the invasive sh!t.
I'm struggling with this as well. I've had trucks for the past 25 plus years. Contemplating not getting another one based on the prices. Horrible. Even for a used one with 50k miles. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
The only good thing is I should be able to sell my old junker for a profit with the way prices are haha. I believe you are in Lynchburg right? We are probably looking at the same trucks too haha
That's why I bought a Tacoma. They hold their value better than any other midsized truck. I don't plan on selling it, but in the event it gets totaled it pays off.
