Drives me nuts when people on CL or FB Marketplace post an ad and then never will respond to any messages about it. I have found two trucks I'd like to buy in the last week and I can't get anyone to say yes they are still here, no..I sold it, go to hell or eff off. Pisses me off good and proper.

Sorry but when someone has the kind of authority to govern over a country as a SCOTUS judge and has been MIA for more time then they've been at that position in the last few months, for health reasons, and there's no update after somewhat major surgery I'm not giving much sympathy. For what reason? So they don't lose another pick? She's either unfit to do the job or not, but the public as that right to know. If for nothing else then to end speculation. [IMG]

GM layoffs and plant shutdowns. I feel bad for those folks going to work today to find out they are being laid off.

People do not want cars anymore, and lets be honest electric cars are not practical for 90% of the population.

Motorists age 16 years and older drive, on average, 29.2 miles per day or 10,658 miles per year.

It would be a shift in the way people drive, but 90%, now that's funny.

Electric cars are just like regular cars, consumers do not want them. Not sure where you get your stats but I don't know anyone that drives that little in a year. How do those electric cars do in snow and cold?

Well I almost just met my maker.

Oversize load truck hanging in both directions...no flag car in front. Dump truck comes around sharp corner and to avoid a head on collision pulls hard right and then starts over correcting. Comes right at me and another car head on at about 40 mph...other car goes into ditch and I time it right by sliding off the shoulder and the damn thing goes flying by head on in my lane of travel.

Taking pics of that truck now and will report his sorry ass for not having s flag truck in front and rear.

12,000 miles is considered average per year mileage on vehicles.

I average around 7,000 miles a year, before I bought my house across town it was about 6,000.

I do work with 2 people out of 35 employees that have hybrids 1 guy is just a dork, the other is a vegan dork. The guy that is just a dork is also a dolt and little does he know he is training his replacement. The vegan dork only runs 115 volt space heaters in his house because the furnace is too expensive, one would think an electrical engineer would grasp that several 115v heaters draws more amps than a 230 volt furnace but keep driving that electric car.

^ This. 80+% off the population lives in metro areas rife with mass transit or personal transit options. Courtesy of vehicles carries costs (fuel, insurance, storage/parking) that urban dwelling millennials avoid.

Old farts, suburban / rural dwellers and families are the market going forward and electric doesn't align with these personas.
