not being able to remember the name/find the 2019 G2G/hunt thread...the one we had settled on in SE Ohio?
first my damn furnace; now my 3 year old water heater is on the fritz....mothe(*&$&)(*&$&@^. At least I discovered it before I worked out and needed a shower. So a house I plan on putting on the market in less than 3 months is starting to nickel and dime me to death. If it was a car I'd drive it over to the south side and leave it parked in a gas station with the keys in it.
Stop whining I need to reroof 2 2-1/2 car garages new siding and remodel the kitchen and bathroom before I can sell my place it is a 3 year plan.
I need to have a tear off, re-pave the driveway, and re-do 2 of the bathrooms too; but I'm going to take the hits as a discount on the listing price. I can sell a house with old shingles and cracked asphalt but not one that's freezing cold with no hot water. Every month I'm in this house is $2300 out of my pocket and less than a third of that is principle. Eff you, Illinois. Once I'm a Hoosier again I'm going to have to hunt harder to find things to Rant about.
Funny thing that. My wife was working dispatch for the SO when this happened. Deputy was on the job about 4 months. She would have taken his head off without blinking an eye. When she left there to take another position, she started working with that deputies mom. Lol. We all have a good laugh about it now.

New Foundation System for the Crawl = 11,000 New Roof = 6000 New Kitchen, Doors and paint = 14,000 Selling the house in two weeks and netting 28,000 grand after all the work and before interest rates went up was awesome. I guess would not have mattered I had a cash buyer.
I read something online that I think is brutally honest about why people hate Trump. Trump is like a Doctor with very bad bedside manner, he will tell you that you are fat and need to lose 100 pounds and quit smoking. You get pissed off and come up with 10 reasons why he is crazy and wrong and can go to hell. Thing is he is right and the only one telling you the truth.
nossir, my 1 and only residence. and not to intentionally get political, but given the new governor, likely getting a complete whack-job new mayor in Chicago soon, and super Dem majorities in both the state house and senate; trying to sell a 25-yo house in Illinois in general and Cook County specifically is not going to be easy. We're one of few counties in the US where property values are falling. I'd rather take the hit on the front end; nothing I do is going to add significant value only maintain it (if I'm lucky.) My only saving graces are that my township still has (relatively) low property taxes and yet somehow is in a great school district. Trump is like a doctor trying to impress a good looking female pharmaceutical rep by shilling whatever she is selling. Sure, just a simple change in lifestyle would cure what ails you but instead he will prescribe a pill that has a 100 worst side effects than the original ailment and does irreversible damage to your internal organs leading you to an early death and to top it all off the sales rep wants nothing to do with him.
Dude I can only fit one quote in my sig, you need to start writing a book. Trump gives simple solutions to complex problems, he does so some of his special voters can understand. He's like a used car salesmen that con you into buying a car. He sold you a lemon, but so they don't feel they were "took" they will deny and defend him no matter what he says or does.
