I pray POTUS stays the course.
I also pray they end up giving that money to the families of BP/CBP officers killed in the line of duty.
I appreciate the sentiment and context, but not one US citizen should have to give the US government one more damn dime to pay for the wall. They've been promising it to us for years, and as I've already laid out there is a very simple way to fund it that won't cost us a thing long term.

Not disagreeing. Seems like this was set up because this guy was tired of waiting on politicians to grow a set.

Idk what's gonna happen with all of it. Goin off what the post says they're trying to set up some legal guarantees that if the money is raised thats what it will be for. But if goal isn't reached or a agreement can't be made all the donations will be refunded. But who knows. Next few days or week will be interesting to see how it takes off. Worse things ppl could donate too.

I am not very familiar with how GFM works as far as refunds, etc. But I don't have much faith that a $5mil check to Treasury with "for the Wall" in the remarks section is going to actually be earmarked as such in the bottom line budget. Especially when Pelosi is the one holding the purse strings.

Like said idk that's just what the guy running the go fund me stated. If you go to the link you can read it. Think that's why they mentiones trying to get some legal contract for the use of the money. I doubt anything would even excist, that's just what was stated. Haven't looked in few days other than total but as far as the refund the guy running it stated the refund would happen if the goal wasn't met. Apparently the "goal" is set now to the highest go fund me allows and they're trying to get it bumped up and if it's not met a check won't even be sent to the gov.

Idk alot of it sounds good on paper but think we all know if the money is raised and handed over it's a crap shoot as to where it will end up. Hopefully it's used for something. Apparently the guy that started it isn't just some random nobody but does actually have some connections. But whi knows.

Edit: just looked up to 9.5 million now. If nothing else potentially raised 10 mil in 3 days. Hell the government would have a hard time doin that ha.

Ed Henry (Fox) is reporting they will be able to vote in the Senate via reconciliation...meaning they only need 50 (plus Pence) to pass. That's what I thought as well, but many other outlets are reporting they need the full 60. I'm not a Congressional procedure expert, but I play one on the Intrawebs. I'm pretty sure they can do this through reconciliation (with a little work beforehand) and only need the 50+1 votes.

    Up for grabs:

    (R)s Collins...Murkowski....Flake....Corker
and (D)s Doug Jones (AL) and Joe Manchin (WV)

Manchin just won re-election and isn't up until '24, when he will be 78yo. . Jones is up in 2020.

I see the retiring Flake and probably Corker giving Trump the middle finger....Drops Rs to 49.
Manchin bending over for Chuckie until his old hips break.

Collins is up in 2020...Murkowski is up in 2022

Collins...Murkowski...Jones. One of the 3 has to go with Trump. Honestly I think Jones is the most likely to do so. As long as the Rs don't put another child molester up against him he has zero chance of winning in 2020 if he votes against the Wall. Unless Chuckie makes him an offer he can't refuse he will go to Trump. Trump could offer his endorsement and/or a cabinet slot if he loses.

    50+ Pence = Wall = winning...............................

that's a significant difference b/t the Left and the Right. The Right wouldn't do anything about it other than maybe fart in their general direction.

That seems like smart move. Considering who is the ones most likely donating.

I should clarify- Ed Henry didn't specify that it would be through reconciliation...only that only 50 votes+Pence would be needed. My understanding of Congressional procedure is that reconciliation is specifically applicable to budgetary/spending bills so this would seem to fit the... bill. [sorry for the pun]

However, Gateway Pundit is positing that McConnell is actually considering the "Nuclear Option" which would also require only 50 votes; however if he hasn't done it yet then why now??? Soooooo much of the President's/House agenda would have gotten through the Senate had he done that Day 1. Honestly, I almost guarantee they would NOT have lost the House in 18 if the Senate had "gone nuclear" in '16.

McConnell could "go nuclear" on this bill but only if the "Flakey 4" (Flake/Collins/Murkowski/Corker) go for it. And I don't see that happening. Seems much more likely to do it through reconciliation.

where was all this media/Hollywood outrage when BHO pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan?

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...k-of-impeaching-pres-trump-coups-and-suicide/

while I agree the letter from Mattis was brutal and I don't think the SecDef should learn of such things via Twitter; most of these same idiots thought BHO was G-O-D for pulling out of "Bush's Wars". Trump literally ran on non-interventionism and as recently as March said publicly that we would be leaving Syria "very soon."

The NeoCons like Graham and Kinsinger I get...there's not a sandbox on a playground they don't want to bomb, invade, and then occupy for a couple decades. Stupid, but at least consistent.

so a Mom leaves her very young kids home alone for a few hours (nothing bad happens to the kids) and is arrested for 2 felony counts of child endangerment.

    https://www.theindychannel.com/news...one-found-watching-home-alone-mother-arrested

but it's completely cool, even heroic for illegals to drag their kids across thousands of miles across crime infested jungles and then deserts whereupon they often suffer abuse, trafficking, malnutrition, dehydration, and even not-infrequently die. That's totally cool.

good Lord. I wonder if her children were ripped from her arms when she was hauled off to jail. It's terrible she was separated from her children. Just mean and heartless.

How about bring the mom and kids in and help them out? People have time to file charges and in the meanwhile look for child welfare people to look for solutions for the family.

Hey mom we know you are struggling with money and had to leave your kids at home. So let's charge you with 2 felonies and make you miss more work, lawyers fees
    ....just pisses me off.

100% agree. I was a latch key kid from like 7-10yoa. My dad worked 2nds and my mom didn't get home from work until about 5:30. I'd walk home from school, let myself in and watch TV do homework until she got home.

In no way was that child abuse/neglect.
